Firstly, Rory Gibson is on Instagram, and you can follow him there. However, he’s shy with words, and doesn’t give away a lot in his captions. Notably, he only put up 29 posts at the time of writing this article. Many of them show his fiancée, professional model Alicia Ruelas. If you didn’t know, they’ve known each other for years and became engaged in October of 2022.
On the TikTok account of @generalhospital, a reel was shared where he told his followers that he’s not very active on social media, and doesn’t use TikTok. At the time, he also said he stays away from Facebook.
In fact, he stressed his only account he maintains is his Instagram. Notably, he warned fans that there are people pretending to be him on other social media and he’d never ask anyone for money.

Family & Personal Life
The real-life Michael Corinthos maintains ties with his family and he loved animals, particularly dogs. He grew up in Southern California, splitting time between his parents’ homes. And, he maintains close relationships with his siblings, Keith, Zander, and Lena. Unfortunately, his dad, Gary, passed away in 2019. A former professional footballer, Gary also founded the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose.
Like his dad, he seems keen on fitness that can help with overall well-being. Gibson maintains a disciplined lifestyle. He follows a pescetarian diet and practices intermittent fasting, per Soap Opera Digest. Additionally, he practices Muay Thai, and also enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and going to the beach.
Often, he shares photos of himself with Alicia who he met when they both attended Centennial High in Bakersfield.
College & Career
Rory tried college, but it wasn’t for him. Despite their disappointment, his parents supported his choice to rather move into learning about an acting career. However, college did help him develop an interest in TV and theatre.
While fans know him from GH, he previously acted the role of Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless. He’d taken over the role from Robert Adamson. However, he exited, and many fans felt that the CBS soap didn’t use his skills very well. Nonetheless, they gush over him as Michael.
Difficult Times
Back in August, Rory appeared with GH star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) on his State of Mind podcast. There, he revealed that after his Y&R exit, he and Alicia experienced a difficult time. Not generally known, while he landed a small role in Rebel Moon: A Child of Fire, he struggled for other work.
Additionally, Alicia also struggled. So, he told Maurice that they were pretty much “homeless,” and they “couch-surfed” for about a year. However, things have turned around.
