General Hospital Kirsten Storms Back On GH Set – Maxie’s Return Date Confirmed
General Hospital spoilers note that it’s been a hot minute since Maxie Jones has been seen in the land of Port Charles, but that’s all about to change! The character’s portrayer, Kirsten Storms, recently confirmed she’s back at work, which means Maxie will be seen on canvas very soon.
Kirsten Storms Is Back On Set
Storms posted on Instagram in the late hours of Wednesday, January 21. The actress uploaded a photo of herself, looking in a mirror. The caption read, “Boom. 2026 already…that was fast. Back at work!”
She went on to say, “Seriously missing my BugBug though. California doesn’t feel right without her here. @generalhospitalabc #gh”
On Storms’ mirror, there were two inspirational cards. One that said, “Throw kindness like confetti.” The other read, “Be Brilliant”.
General Hospital airs several weeks ahead of broadcast, so fans can expect to see Maxie’s return unravel near the end of February or early March.
Then again, that’s assuming Storms’ first filming date took place on January 21. If she’s swerving fans slightly and has already shot scenes, then Maxie could make a comeback sooner than expected. Only time will tell.
Maxie Jones’s Storyline
Maxie fell into a coma in August 2025, after exposing herself to tainted Deception cream during a Home & Heart segment for the brand. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was seemingly behind the entire scheme, and Maxie’s loved ones have been devastated since the entire thing went down.
With that said, they do remain hopeful that she’ll make a full recovery. Added into the mix is the fact that her thought-to-be-dead husband, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) returned shortly after Maxie’s cream/coma incident.
Still, many GH fans can’t help but feel as if something is very “off” with Nathan, who’s also been getting quite close to Maxie’s bestie, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).
Will Maxie gravitate toward Nathan when she awakens, or will her heart continue to belong to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)?
