General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Trina And Spencer Discuss Letting Esme Get In The Way Of Their Relationship

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) are at a crossroads in their relationship, which is disappointing given that they haven’t been together all that long, officially. These two had a slow start, and at times it was stop-and-start. Now that Sprina is finally launching, the last thing GH fans want to see is a slowdown, but that’s what’s on the horizon for these two. It won’t be easy for them to control their instincts to run to each other’s side when the going gets tough, but Spencer is going to concede to Trina’s approach — that letting Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) break them up is the best thing they can do.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Prince In The Middle

Like it or not, Esme is planted dab smack in the middle of Spencer and Trina’s relationship. A week or two ago, things were looking up for this couple — especially in light of the troubles at home both of them were facing with their parents. Trina is still avoiding her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), on the heels of finding out her dad may not be her dad. Spencer still thinks his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), skipped town to evade persecution for holding Esme hostage, as he’s blaming himself for letting her wreck his family in the first place. Now, Esme is living under the same roof with Spencer at his grandmother’s penthouse, and she’s invasive enough to make sure Spencer can’t even kiss his girlfriend goodbye in the hallway.

General Hospital Updates – Trina Robinson Floors Spencer Cassadine With Her Suggestion

When Spencer laments as to just how irritated he is with Esme and how much he wants to see to it that she’s sent back to Spring Ridge sooner than later, Trina is going to present Spencer with a new plan of action. He might not be all ears considering that it was her idea to get the charges against Esme dropped in the first place. Spencer is starting to doubt that getting her off the hook was the best decision. However, Trina thinks they could gain the upper hand against Esme — if they just let her think she has Spencer wrapped around her finger again.

Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off!

To be honest, the last time Spencer and Esme were together, he still had feelings for Trina. The last thing he would want to do was relive that experience, but this time it’s going to be in Ace Cassadine’s best interest if Spencer mans up and pretends Esme is the one he wants. Letting her believe Spencer wants to make it work with her just might hit Esme where it hurts — in that weak spot where she aches for a family of her own. Can they pull it off? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
