General Hospital spoilers tease that Port Charles is looking for a new Police Commissioner. Now that Laura Collins (Genie Frances) has appointed Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) as Deputy Mayor, someone will need to take her place. Jordan has suggested Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) for the job, but Jordan is unaware that Taggert has troubles of his own. And these troubles could lead to danger for the rest of the police department as well as the citizens of Port Charles.
General Hospital Spoilers – Marcus Taggert Is Not The Father!
For twenty years, Taggert believed that he was Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father. Trina’s mother, Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) kept the possibility that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) fathered Trina a secret. The truth finally came out a few months ago, and a DNA test confirmed that Trina’s true father was Curtis and not Taggert. Taggert seemingly took the news well, but the truth of the matter is that he was devastated. He’s tried to hide his pain for Trina’s sake, partly through the use of alcohol to numb his own pain.
General Hosptial Updates – Trina Robinson Still Sees Marcus Taggert As Her Father!
Although Trina was glad to learn the truth, she has made it clear that she still considers Taggert to be her father. But Taggert can already sense a distance forming between them, and he has started to drink much more, even carrying a flask with him during the day. Taking on the Commissioner position may help keep his mind off Trina, but his drinking could put the lives of his fellow officers in grave danger.
Marcus Taggert Could Cause Serious Harm!
Being Police Commissioner requires a clear mind. If Taggert is impaired by his drinking, he could give an order that could put members of the police force, as well as civilians in harm’s way. It’s easy to imagine a drunken Taggert giving an order to Mac Scorpio (John J York) that could lead to serious injury or even death. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and Taggert realizes that his drinking could do serious harm. Otherwise, someone could very well pay with life.
