General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that fans want to know if Spencer Cassadine (most recently Nicolas J. Bechtel) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Silzer) will be back for the teen summer scene story on General Hospital. Here’s what we know so far.
General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine Will Return – Will Emma Scorpio-Drake?
According to the Soap Opera Digest summer previews, Spencer indeed will return, but likely as a recast. There hasn’t been anything spoiled about Emma, however – but it would certainly make the teen scene more exciting if there was another female in the mix. General Hospital viewers will recall that childhood rivalry between Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Spencer over Emma, when they were all around ten years old.
Later, Cameron and Spencer got into a romantic rivalry over Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as well! It would really be interesting to have Cameron, Spencer, Trina Robinson, (Sydney Mikayla) Josslyn Jacks and Emma Scorpio-Drake in Port Charles this summer! Emma has grown up to be quite the beautiful young lady and definitely would give Trina and Joss a run for their money! Once Port Charles is more safe from the likes of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) Emma’s parents may feel it’s safer for Emma to visit her grandparents, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).
Robin has been through some very difficult situations as a young teenager herself, when her mother disappeared and she contracted HIV from her first love, Stone Cates (Michael Sutton). It is understandable if she and Dr. Patrick Drake (formerly Jason Thompson) might be a little overprotective over their teenage daughter! There could be a triangle or a quad with Cameron, Joss, Spencer, and Emma, and Trina could mix in there too with having seemed to have some secret feelings for Cameron herself a while back – it could get complicated!
General Hospital Spoilers – Emma Scorpio-Drake Is Now Fifteen As Is Spencer Cassadine
General Hospital viewers will recall that both Emma and Spencer are fifteen according to General Hospital history, although they could SORAS, or increase their age rapidly by a couple of years to make them the same age as the other three teens, meaning seventeen to eighteenish. Josslyn, Trina and Cameron had all been talking about college although Josslyn was upset about being waitlisted by a West Coast college, and Cameron had been accepted but decided not to go because of the death of his beloved stepfather, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Spencer has matured, and there are not likely to be the childish accusations of Cameron being a mere “townie” and Ava Cassadine (Maura West) would quickly put a stop to any shade he might throw on Trina! Spencer likely will continue to disagree with his father’s choice of wife, but that probably will not play into any interactions he has with the rest of the teens. General Hospital viewers can expect that Spencer may continue to have a tight leash on him by his grandmother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who will tell him he needs to make peace with his stepmother, and Laura may seek to keep the peace between Spencer and Cameron as well.
It remains to be seen whether Emma visits this summer, although it would make the teen scene a little more exciting and dramatic if she did – she and Spencer may even be age progressed enough for both to stay in Port Charles to go to college!

It has been reported on several sites that Spencer’s character will be aged and there is already a new actor portraying his role (and will soon be in Port Charles). While it is easy to have 20-somethings in the same age range work together, 15 year olds and 18 year olds (Trina, Cam and Joss) are way too far apart in experiences, emotions, etc. While I would love to see them back, it just doesn’t work right now.
I would love to see Ava earn Spencer's trust and be accepted as his step mother. Ava and Spencer are alike in some ways.
