General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen, who plays Willow Tait, was recently separated from her beloved cat, Astro. Thanks to social media, Astro is home with Katelyn where he belongs.
General Hospital – 36 Stressful Hours
General Hospital’s Katelyn thanked Santa Monica’s firemen of Stations 2 and 3 for saving her cat, Astro’s life. Although it is unclear how the cat got out, Astro managed to become trapped between two cement walls that were about five feet tall. Katelyn had to stand by as her cat continued to meow for assistance which she could not offer him. When family and friends could not offer assistance either calling the fire department was the last resort.
Luckily these firemen were determined to save Astro and reunite him with his family. After 36 long and stressful hours, Astro is at home where he belongs. Katelyn says she received a lot of advice from other pet owners with tips on how to help their cats who may get lost.
General Hospital – Leave Things Your Cat Can Smell
General Hospital’s Katelyn says above all she learned to leave things outside that the cat can smell like their bed for example. Cats who are not used to being outside will find a spot and could hide for days at a time. Indoor cats are afraid of the strange sounds they hear outside as well as the strange noises. Cats can become lost for days and could get into situations that get them in trouble as well. Cats tend to hide under cars and have been known to get under car hoods as well. Katelyn advises fans to bring out their flashlights when looking at night.
General Hospital – A Huge Thank You
General Hospital’s Katelyn may have thanked the first responders, however, she also posted a photo of Astro with a huge thank you sign. Katelyn felt it was only natural to let Astro offer his thanks as well. Katelyn is just grateful that the first responders believe that animal lives matter too and came to her cat’s rescue.
These first responders went above and beyond the call of duty to get to this defenseless kitten. Now that Katelyn and her cat are reunited she wants to thank everyone who assisted in locating him. Katelyn’s thanks include her neighbors who helped her as well.
We are glad that Katelyn has her kitten back and hope that a similar situation doesn’t happen again. Thanks to the first responders from all of us pet lovers who would hope to get the same treatment in this situation.
