General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Josslyn & Cameron Shocked, Spencer Returns to Romance Joss?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will get a blast from the past in upcoming episodes of General Hospital; a recast Spencer Cassadine (most recently played by Nicolas J. Bechtel) will return. The question is, will the childhood rivalry over Joss continue?

General Hospital Spoilers – Cameron Webber And Spencer Cassadine Were Romantic Rivals When It Came To Both Josslyn Jacks And Emma Scorpio-Drake

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Cameron and Spencer were romantic rivals over Josslyn Jacks even when they were nine or ten years old! There was one time at the Lila’s Kids camp in the summer where Britt Westbourne, (Kelly Thiebaud) who was involved with Nikolas Cassadine (now Marcus Coloma) at the time, had to break up a fight between the feisty and precocious little Spencer and Cameron! They also fought over Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) when Spencer was “dating” her!

No matter who Cam was into at any given time, Spencer was into her too! Another time, Cameron went to Spencer’s birthday party. He and Emma “broke up” and he started “dating” Joss, but before leaving the party, Cameron accidentally started a fire. It trapped Emma and Spencer and Spencer’s face was burned. When Cameron heard about the fire he was scared and went to Ric Lansing (Ric Hearst) to make sure he had a lawyer, but Ric assured him that he wouldn’t need one.

Then a couple of years later, Cameron and Emma were set to perform the tango together at the Nurses’ Ball and Spencer threw sand bags on the stage! With Cameron, Josslyn and Spencer all together again, General Hospital viewers have to wonder if Cam and Spencer’s romantic rivalry will start up again over Joss, since Emma is out of the picture and living in California!

General Hospital Spoilers – Older, But Perhaps Not Wiser

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Spencer used to treat his contemporaries in Port Charles with disdain, calling them “townies”! Years away and growing up to be a young man – an angry one, perhaps, but still older – may have at least improved that about Spencer. After all, at school in France he would have been a “townie” along with all of his classmates there, although they were probably all French and treated the American with disdain. Spencer may have reaped what he sowed back in Port Charles as an entitled and bratty little child!

Spencer will arrive in a very different Port Charles from the one that he left – with Emma gone, and Josslyn and Cameron both having lived through grief over loved ones lost to death. Josslyn, of course, lost her first boyfriend Oscar Nero (Garren Lake Stitt) to cancer, Cameron his beloved stepfather Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). He may also get to know Cameron and Josslyn’s friend, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). Given half the chance, Spencer and Trina could be good friends – having both gone through the experience of grieving their fathers, only to find out later they had faked their deaths! Spencer will also, as all three of the other teens have found out, find out Port Charles is not as safe a place as it once was.

General Hospital viewers have to wonder if Spencer even knows that his beloved uncle Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is presumed dead; although either his grandma Laura Collins (Genie Francis) or Nikolas may have told him off-screen. Will Spencer and Cameron continue their romantic rivalry, perhaps over both Josslyn and Trina? Will they be older but still not much wiser? Viewers will have to wait and see!
