General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Josh Kelly had one of the most inventive daytime debuts in history this week when his character Cody crashed into an angry (and soaking wet) Britt Westbourne (Kelly Theibaud). Cody parachuted into a rowdy Society Setup party but didn’t count on Britt getting in his way and both ended up in the pool.
No doubt this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship—or not!
General Hospital spoilers: Britt Was Hopping Mad
Josh talked to SOD about his debut and clearly is enthusiastic about making a return to daytime. He played Cutter Wentworth on ABC’s One Life to Live from 2010-2011 and then on the web version before it was cancelled in 2013.
His journey to becoming Cody started after a friend auditioned for a GH role. He thought about how nice it would be to have a regular gig and confirms that he is on contract now.
GH spoilers: Josh Kelly is a Daytime Vet
In the beginning Josh had to get used to a daytime that has become a, “completely different animal” since Covid. Easing his transition was the friendship of fellow OLTL costars Michael Easton (ex John, OLTL, Hamilton Finn, GH) and Roger Howarth (ex Todd OLTL, Austin Gatlin Holt, GH).

So what is Cody all about? Fans are about to find out! After some antics in the June 1 epi, including being handcuffed by Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Cody likely will be paired with his unimpressed crashee Britt. We see fireworks ahead!
Cody made his entrance on the Metro Court rooftop pool party held by Society Setups. Right before his sudden appearance, Britt Westbourne was having a pity party about her love life. Bestie Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) was filming her meltdown as she railed on about Mr. Right falling out of the sky.
Dante recognized Cody, and Britt demanded he be arrested. Law abiding Dante cuffed him for reckless endangerment but they ended up at Charlie’s Pub where Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) learned these two were childhood buddies who used to get in trouble together. Uh oh we see some serious shenanigans on the horizon. Not to mention some outing of Dante’s past growing up with his single mom Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) in Brooklyn.

I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed in the introduction of a new contract charecter! Really, a skydiving goofball from Dante's summer camp days! A horse trainer? Let me guess, he's going to work at the Q mansion and become Leo's best friend....(who until last week was chase)... What a letdown.
