General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has confessed her crimes to the PCPD. She is free of the burden of worrying that someone else will rat her out and leave her exposed and vulnerable to prosecution. Instead, she gets to walk free with full immunity for coming forward and rolling over on her longtime best friend, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). However, Elizabeth just can’t shake the feeling she got when she last spoke to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) about her intentions. Was there more to it?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Dropped By
Ava and Elizabeth are not friends, and it certainly isn’t normal for Ava to swing by Elizabeth’s house and hope to speak with her about her private affairs — especially after she was led to believe Liz had one with her husband, Nik. When Ava stopped by merely out of concern for Elizabeth and wanting to give her a heads up that Nikolas had left town and wouldn’t be reporting anything to the police, Elizabeth was taken aback. Why would Ava suddenly want to help Elizabeth? She knows Ava well enough to know she never does much that doesn’t directly benefit herself in some way, so what is it that Ava would get from Elizabeth refraining from turning herself in?
General Hospital Updates – Elizabeth Baldwin Told The Truth
Elizabeth has confessed, and Ava knows it. As soon as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) led Ava to suspect Elizabeth was off at the PCPD giving them her version of events, Ava knew she and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) had to act quickly to get rid of Nikolas’ body in the stables before the PCPD started going over Spoon Island with a fine-toothed comb. The last thing on Elizabeth’s mind was what Ava might think of her confession, but she’s going to wonder soon enough when Finn tells her how interested Ava was in talking to Elizabeth and discerning her whereabouts.
Elizabeth Baldwin Puts Two And Two Together
It won’t take long for Elizabeth to start wondering whether or not Nikolas really left on his own accord when he left town — or did he leave town at all? Has Ava done something she can’t take back and she merely wanted Elizabeth to keep quiet so that no one would come poking around at Wyndemere and find out things aren’t as cut and dry between her and her ex-husband as she wants everyone to believe? When Elizabeth realizes Nikolas allegedly left town without word at the same time that Ava came to her door, she’s going to wonder if her motivation was really in protecting Elizabeth, or herself.
