General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: During A Visit, Cyrus Claims He Didn’t Send The Assassin, Is He Lying?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will get a very special Christmas gift from his half-sister Laura Collins (Genie Francis) – a prison visit! He’ll claim he wasn’t the one who sent an assassin after her and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and that he’s seen the light and has repented from his evil ways! But General Hospital viewers as well as Laura know that he’s not to be trusted or believed!

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Warns Laura Collins To Be Careful, There Is Still Someone Out To Kill Her And Martin Grey

General Hospital viewers will think Cyrus’ sudden concern for the lives of his half-sister Laura and whole brother Martin is just a smokescreen – and he’s still putting out hits on them. How else would he know to warn Laura that there is someone still out there that wants to kill her and Martin if he didn’t have something to do with it? General Hospital viewers know that Cyrus still has contacts that he uses to do his business outside of the federal prison he’s stuck in, which is in the Midwest.

He even told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) so, when he called him to “give his condolences” to Sonny for the presumed death of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) – the fact of which had not yet been released to the public. General Hospital viewers will recall that was during the time that Sonny had requested a press blackout so that Jason’s surviving family members and close friends could be told, and be given some privacy. That proves that Cyrus’ contacts are all over the world – apparently even on Cassadine Island!

General Hospital Updates – Cyrus Renault, A “Come To Jesus” Moment?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Cyrus tells Laura he’s had a “come to Jesus” moment, which could mean anything from “getting religion” as some put it while in prison, to simply realizing the error of his ways! General Hospital viewers will likely see Cyrus try to use his “newfound faith” as one gigantic snow job on his not-so-gullible half-sister! Even if something dramatic has happened to Cyrus in that prison that caused him to do such an unbelievable turnaround, there is an old saying that goes “there are no atheists in foxholes”!

Many an unbelieving soldier under enemy fire has suddenly believed in a God who might hear his or her prayers! Then there’s always the “Elmer Gantry syndrome” — when a con man realizes he can make lots and lots of money promising miracles to gullible people who will give financially to support his so-called “ministry”! Perhaps Cyrus could be thinking about a career change once he gets out of prison? After all, Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) made lots of secret money off of his “Dawn Of Day” followers. Perhaps Cyrus even read his book and that’s what prompted this “change”!

Laura Collins’s Not Buying It But She’ll Continue To Watch Her Back

General Hospital viewers can expect that Laura won’t buy Cyrus’ “conversion” story and she’ll continue to watch her back as well as her friends and family’s, including Martin’s! Laura will likely tell Cyrus that she’ll have to see proof of his change, and that might take a few years. As General Hospital viewers know, anyone can make up a beautiful redemption story about themselves, but it’s quite another thing to live it and to prove it. Cyrus has a years-long track record of deceit, lies, drug dealing, violence, and murders, and that can take just as many years to come back from as a better man. Laura knows that there may be a seed of goodness deep inside Cyrus, but that it will take many, many years of changed behavior to grow into a tree that will bear good fruit!
