General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) wants to gain the trust of different individuals. He has been trying to get members of the Quartermaine family to trust him because he wants to be part of the family and the family business ELQ. Austin believes that if he can get shares in ELQ that he will be honoring his late father Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) who had been disowned by his father Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle). Austin has been having some success in getting Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to trust him because he is concerned about Ned’s step son Leo Falconari (Easton Rocket Sweda). Austin is having trouble getting Ned’s daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to trust him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Austin Has an Interest in Maxie Jones
Austin does not know that Brook Lynn does not trust him because she is keeping a secret. Brook Lynn is taking care of Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) daughter Louise August (Scarlett and Harper Bloom). Maxie gave Louise to Brook Lynn because she has her concerns about Louise’s father Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Brook Lynn needed to have a baby to pass off as her child with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to get her ELQ shares back from him.
Austin delivered Louise and has been concerned about Maxie. He wants her to find Louise because everyone believes that she has been kidnapped. Austin has started to have feelings for Maxie. They went to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) wedding. However, Maxie does not want to be more than friends with Austin. Austin is determined to prove to Maxie that she can trust him to be her friend or become something more to her.

Austin knows that Jason is important to many people in Port Charles. He is very important to many members of the Quartermaine family especially Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). Austin wants to get to know Jason better. He wants to find a way to get Jason to trust that he does not want to cause the Quartermaine family trouble but has the family’s best interest at heart. Jason does not trust people easily. It might take time for Austin to get Jason to accept him as a part of the Quartermaine family.

General Hospital Austin is making progress in his efforts to get ELQ shares. Austin found out from his lawyer Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) that his case is moving forward. Austin does not want to continue to be an outsider to the Quartermaine family. He knows that he needs support and hopes that Jason will start to trust him. Can Austin find a way to get Jason to be a friend and his advocate to the rest of the Quartermaine family? Austin wants to find out if he could have a future with Maxie. Will Austin find a way to get Maxie to be interested in him?
Austin does not know that Maxie and Brook Lynn are keeping the secret about Louise. Maxie has started to get concerned that Brook Lynn wants to cause Austin some sort of trouble. Will Maxie make sure that Austin does not have trouble from Brook Lynn?
