General Hospital Comings & Goings August 18-22: Fan Favorite Back at GH, But With a TwistGeneral Hospital spoilers reveal that we have some casting updates for the week of August 18, 2025. For one thing, expect to see Kirsten Storms back as Maxie Jones. While you will see her on-screen, there is a bit of a twist. Keep reading and let’s get started talking about the ABC soap opera.

Kirsten Storms’ Big Move

Fans know that Storms has been playing Maxie since 2025. Recently, she went to social media to announce she was taking a break from the soap and moving to Tennessee.

This isn’t the first time that the actress has gone on breaks. Usually, it’s Nicole Paggie who replaces her while she’s gone, and that turned out to be the case this time as well.

Advanced Filming

Fans have been seeing Paggi as Maxie lately. However, the actress stated previously that some of her scenes were filmed in advance. So, we could still see Kirsten as Maxie in a few upcoming scenes.

Storms stated that she hoped to be back by the end of the year.

Recurring Appearances

General Hospital spoilers reveal that comings and goings for the week of August 18 reveal that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will be seen again. Of course, there will be more conflict between Liesl and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) over Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

There is also Stella Henry (Vernee Watson). The hospital employee gets interrogated by medical fraud investigators. So, she could be in a whole lot of hot water and it was all started by Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). With Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) having a soft spot for Stella, could he go up against Drew?

Fans will also see more of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). The dead woman was already recognized by Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Now, Britt has to face Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). While the right-hand man will want answers, Britt might promise to explain everything later. But for now, she needs Jason to go along with her plan, even if it doesn’t know all the details.

There is also word that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) tries to save the life of someone he cares about. The next day, he has to deliver bad news. There is speculation that Stella could have another medical crisis, most likely brought on by the stress of that fraud investigation.

That would explain Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) going on the warpath as well as Lucas having to give bad news. Could Stella end up having another stroke?
