General Hospital Comings & Goings April 20-24: New Character Alert, Fan Fav Returns, Special Guest Star

That’s So Fetch! Jonathan Bennett Joins Cast!
News broke recently that Jonathan Bennett is slated to join General Hospital sometime in May. He’s known for his iconic role as Aaron Samuels in the 2004 comedy classic, Mean Girls.
The show has created a brand-new character for Bennett, whose name is Joe Pitzpatrick. No more information has been provided as of this writing, including who he’ll be sharing scenes with or an exact debut date.
In addition to Mean Girls, Bennett has also been in several Hallmark Channel movies and hosted and produced the network’s reality show, Finding Mr. Christmas. The actor also once played JR Chandler on All My Children from 2001 to 2002.
Anna Devane’s Return
General Hospital’s Chris McKenna (Jack Brennan) had fans buzzing when he posted on the social media platform X this past week. He informed followers that Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane, was on her way back to Port Charles.
The last time GH audiences saw Anna was in February of 2026, when she was committed to a psychiatric treatment center in France.
Genie Spotting
Lastly, Broadway performer Michael James Scott, who plays “Genie” in the theatrical production of Aladdin, will appear as himself this week on General Hospital.
Fans can expect to see him during the Friday, April 24 episode as Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) head to New York City to catch the production and share in a romantic getaway.
Scott will resurface in Port Charles sometime in May, as he’s slated for a multiple-episode arc.
