General Hospital Comings and Goings: Kelly Thiebaud Leaves Soap For Station 19

General Hospital comings and goings reveal another exit for Kelly Thiebaud, who has come and gone from the soap more than once. This time, she seems to be leaving on her own accord to rejoin the ABC medical drama Station 19.

General Hospital’s Kelly Thiebaud Gone

According to Deadline, Thiebaud will be last seen as Britt in November of this year, but Soap Hub reports that GH is not officially commenting on the actress’ contract status. Still, word is we won’t be seeing Britt in 2023.

Thiebaud joined General Hospital in 2012 and left by 2014, but was back again in 2015 and 2018 before making a more permanent return in 2020. Known as ‘The Britch’ for her bitchy ways, Britt semi-reformed herself for her latest comeback when she became hospital chief of staff, learned she had the gene for Huntington’s Disease like her father Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), and fell for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who then died.

All of that led to Thiebaud winning the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress this past June.

What Happens To Britt Now?

Currently, Britt is in a highly unpopular romance with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), the newcomer to town who was friends with Dante Falconeri (Dante Falconeri) in summer camp and claims to be the son of Dominique Stanton Baldwin (Shell Danielson), Scotty Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) late wife who died in the 90s. Cody also seems to be scamming Britt to make them believe they are a match by blackmailing Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) into fudging the Society Setups algorithm.

Even Thiebaud has hinted that she didn’t like the direction that Britt was going in with this latest love interest and fans seem to think he is sexist and Britt deserves much better than this guy.

Will the Cody and Britt pairing now be scrapped if Cody is going to stick around Port Charles and Britt will be gone? And what will take Britt away from town this time? Is it is her health or does she just decide to leave in case Thiebaud wants to return one day? Time will tell, but we at least have a few months left with Britt. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see what happens after that.
