Fans may have recognized Leyva when she appeared on the October 5 episode of General Hospital as part of Carly’s (Laura Wright) storyline.
General Hospital Spoilers: Can Leyva help Carly?
In a social media post, the soap posted a photo of Leyva together with Laura Wright and Cameron Mathison (Drew).
The caption teased, “Your eyes aren’t deceiving you, Southern California, ABC 7’s own Ellen Leyva guest-stars on today’s exciting new GH. Can she help Carly’s mission to stop Peyton? Don’t miss it!”
Leyva played a local news reporter and interviewed Carly about her efforts to stop the highway rezoning. If the project pushes through, the Florida cemetery where her mother is buried would have to be relocated.
Leyva Thrilled with Her Soap Stint
Leyva is the co-anchors of the ABC7 Eyewitness News that airs at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. She expressed her excitement about being part of the daytime soap.
“Cameron made me feel so welcome!” she said. “I was so lucky to do my cameo with him and incredible actress Laura Wright. I was so impressed watching the heavy scenes they had to do. Wow! Just wait! Sparks are flying with these two! Thanks to both!”
She also expressed that she would love to make another appearance and even joked about staying for an arc.
“I think I’m a frustrated actress,” she said. “I would love to be on… I said, ‘Aren’t I somebody’s long-lost cousin?’ I want to be the villain!”
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Delivers a Speech
GH spoilers for the week of October 10 tease that Carly will also deliver an impassioned speech to the city council. Will it help halt the demolition of the graveyard? Will she be successful in all her efforts? What else can she do to stop Peyton (Linda Purl)?
Elsewhere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will be shocked to see Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) trying to open a safe inside Wyndemere. Esme has been presumed dead over the past few months. Nikolas will demand an explanation from Esme about where she’s been. Esme will tell him what happened to her and more!
Meanwhile, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will ask Robert Scorpio (Tristen Rogers) for help to bring Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) down. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuar) is also working with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to bring Victor down.
