A year ago, a lot of speculation arrived about Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlette Fernandez) returning to the General Hospital show. Well, she did return, and this week on September 8, fans saw that it wasn’t Fernandez, but Bluesy Burke. And, it was co-star Chris McKenna (Jack Brennan) who dropped some spoilers about Bluesy and her family.
What Did Chris Reveal?
Other people acted in the role of Charlotte over the years, and Amelie McLain did so for a couple of years. Next up was AnaSofia Bianchi who appeared in a single episode. So, it seemed a bit of a surprise to see Bluesy Burke in the role.
Well, Chris McKenna shared more surprises about her on X. On September 8, he shared an old poster and reminded his GH fans that he once worked with her dad. He said, “Fun fact- the new actress who plays Charlotte, Bluesy Burke, is the daughter of Billy Burke. He and I did the film FORFEIT together.”
Billy, of course, is well known to fans of Fire Country. He’s been on the CBS show from the beginning. However, he reportedly won’t be back for a fourth season. It seemed very interesting to GH fans that there was a connection with today’s Jack Brennan on the daytime drama.

Naturally, as ABC fans love a bit of tea, and they also love Chris, there were many responses in the discussion area. One of them wrote, “She did a great job today! Excited to see her take over the role. Have loved Billy Burke in many things.”

The Background Of Bluesy
Bluesy Burke seems like a strong character right from the start of her debut as Charlotte. According to Vocal Media, she’s no newcomer to being in front of the camera. The outlet noted that she “made her film debut as a baby” with a cameo in a project of her father’s, the movie Luster.
She also “was the inspiration for one of her dad’s songs,” Bluesy LaRue, released on the album Removed” in 2019. In addition to her other work, she “appeared in Booksmart and Stone Cold Fox” due for release this year.
