Despite General Hospital star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) and his wife, Vanessa separating last year, they seem to remain fairly amicable. And they try to keep it that way because of their kids, Lucas and Leila. Additionally, it seems that when the family home burned down in January this year, the family pulled together a bit more.
Where Are The Kids?
Unfortunately though, right now, Cameron doesn’t have his kids with him. On Instagram on Saturday, the ABC actor shared some nice photos from the summer. Then in his caption, he explained why he misses them.
The GH star told his fans:
Summer with the kids is over, and the house already feels a little too quiet. Back to college they go—one in Paris, one in London. Proud of them, excited for them, but also missing them already. This doesn’t begin to sum it up, but here are a few highlights from a summer full of memories I’ll definitely hold onto.

Talking about his kids exiting for college studies, some ABC viewers hope that Drew Cain ends his run on the GH show. After all, even Cameron Mathison admitted he’s a terrible fictional person. However, if you are one of those who don’t like him, he assured his fans during a live session that he isn’t going to be killed off yet. That’s despite him being shot.
