Alexa Havins Bruening: Husband Visits GH Set – Fans Want Him Cast

Justin Bruening, the husband of Alexa Havins Bruening (Lulu Spencer), shared on social media about visiting the General Hospital set, and ABC fans immediately decided he needed to be on the daytime soap. Read on for more details.

The Backstory To The Post

In his Instagram post on Wednesday, Justin, who’s married to Alexa, had a lot of fun with his connection to GH, and he shared a photo of himself outside the set.

If you know the backstory of Justin and Alexa, you’ll get the connections straight away. Michael Fairman TV reminded readers that when he was playing the role of Jamie Martin on All My Children, Alexa was playing the role of Babe Carey.

They met on the set and tied the knot in 2005. Now they raise four kids together, and his caption basically reenacted their relationship.

Re-Enacting The Past

In his post, Justin Bruening wrote, “I’m lost….” And then he joked, “Can someone point me in the direction of a good hospital?”

The second photo that he posted showed him with Alexa Havins Bruening, and he invented some scripted dialogue. He wrote:

Oh! Here’s someone! Lulu, you say? Hmmm….That’s weird…you look familiar. Have we met? You’re cute…..What are you doing the rest of your life? I’m thinking……… 4 kids? House in the burbs? 1,001 pets?

Then he tagged Alexa and said, “Guys! She said YES!” He also added, “DAD!?!” and tagged Michael E. Knight. Why did he do that? Well, on All My Children, Michael E. Knight was his TV dad, and now he’s on GH as Martin Grey.

Fans Want Him Cast

All Justin had to do was appear on the General Hospital set, and fans started clamoring for him to be cast on the ABC daytime soap. One follower wrote, “You would be a great Dillon recast.”

Dillon Quartermaine isn’t featured on the show at the moment, so the fan was calling for a recast of a legacy character.

Interestingly, GHT previously speculated that Dillon could be heading back to Port Charles, particularly given his history with Lulu.

Others agreed it wasn’t a bad idea, and one of them replied, “I was thinking the same thing and the characters, Lulu and Dylan (sic), have a deep connection. Be great to have them together.”

Here are a few other roles that fans decided would suit the husband of Alexa Havins Bruening:

  • “He could be Kevin Buchanan, the guy who is going to write the piece on Curtis being a hero…?”
  • “I think Kevin would be around 60 now, but I think it would be fun to see Justin guest in a different role.”
  • “That’s (Lulu) Alexa Havins’ husband in real life. Hopefully he will be her love interest.”
