General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Declares War on Nina and Willow With a Ruthless Revenge Plot
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal we saw Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) roll into the Quartermaine lake, still strapped in his wheelchair.
We also saw it was a furious Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) who did the deed-so, what happens in the aftermath?
Here’s What Happened Prior To The Incident At The Quartermaine Lake
Nina devised a plan to eliminate him before he can take her and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) down; however, once Drew survives, chaos is sure to ensue.
He’s almost regained his strength, and when that happens, Nina and Willow will have to confront his merciless revenge scheme.
We’ll discuss how Drew intends to unleash turmoil and make Nina and Willow accountable for everything they’ve done to him.
Currently, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is still on the hunt for his black box, which was taken by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Even after Nina injected him with a paralytic, Brennan remains dedicated to assisting her and Willow in stopping Drew.
Valentin Cassadine Found Jack’s Black Box And Proposes A Deal To Jack
Plus, it seems that Nina’s romantic involvement with Jack is another motivating factor for him to continue his support. Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has caught on to Jack’s desire for the box.
He’s astute enough to realize that it wasn’t Cullum’s; it was one he had stolen from Jack. He found it stashed behind what appeared to be an old oil burning stove in the bowels of the Wyndemere Castle. Consequently, Valentin proposed a deal: if the WSB agrees to unfreeze his assets, he will return the box to Jack.
Here’s What Went Down At The Lake
Drew disclosed to Nina that he has the ability to speak, and overheard her during a phone call with Willow, who was delivering some unfortunate news about Jack’s lack of progress in locating the black box.
When Drew later asked Nina what was troubling her and if she had received bad news, it completely startled her! After Willow had previously calmed her down, Nina left Jack a message expressing her fear of doing something irreversible.
Drew reignited Nina’s spirit, leading her to decide that he needed to take a swim, wheelchair and all. And indeed, Nina pushed him into the lake!
Gio Saves Drew
Unfortunately for her, Metro Court Pool lifeguard Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is nearby; he’s at the Quartermaine mansion chatting with his mother, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who encourages him to take another swim before he departs.
Once Gio gets Drew out of the lake, possibly having to undo the wheelchair restraints in the process, Drew will need a little time to recover.
From Drew’s perspective, this marks the third attempt on his life; Willow shot him twice, then caused him to have a stroke and left him in a paralyzed state.
And now her mother Nina tried to drown him-naturally, Drew is going to be understandably furious and seeking revenge.
It’s Possible Nina And Willow Will Get What They Need From Jack-At The Last Minute!
There’s a possibility that Nina and Willow will manage to obtain the goods from Jack Brennan just in time, at the eleventh hour, to blackmail Drew into silence. This should prevent him from going to the authorities.
However, given what Willow and Nina have done, it’s uncertain whether anything can truly stop Drew from seeking revenge, especially if he realizes they won’t face any consequences.
One potential scenario is that Drew might insist that Willow must remain married to him, although she is eagerly anticipating the day she can rid herself of Drew.
Recently, she expressed this desire to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard); yet, Drew could argue that it would raise suspicions if Willow were to leave him just as he’s on the mend.
Drew Could Keep Willow And Nina Blackmailed, He Heard Everything Willow Taunted Him With
He might also warn her that such a move could jeopardize her political aspirations, plus he heard everything Willow taunted him with over the weeks and months.
Thus, Willow could find herself trapped in this marriage; Drew might even resort to threats, suggesting he would risk imprisonment, and they could both face trial to see who ends up in Pentonville. He would relish the idea of keeping Willow under his control.
This would serve as the ultimate act of revenge for Drew, leaving both Willow and Nina horrified-they would be stuck with him indefinitely. Another potential revenge tactic from Drew could involve targeting his mother-in-law/ex-lover Nina directly.
She is at the helm of Crimson, which is still part of Aurora Media, where Drew holds a significant stake, although Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) possesses a slightly larger share, giving him a controlling interest.
Drew Could Shake Up Things At Aurora Media And Crimson Magazine
It’s clear that Drew could be planning a corporate takeover, as he has gathered enough shares to try to take back control of Aurora Media, a company he started with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
This move would also give him access to Nina’s magazine-meanwhile, with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) facing felony assault charges, his five-year CEO contract might have a morals clause. This could open the door for Drew to push Curtis out and regain his influence.
He would love the chance to take charge of Aurora Media, which would allow him to undermine Michael and create chaos at Crimson, turning Nina’s work life into a daily struggle.
Drew has the ability to make her life completely miserable; a corporate shakeup is coming; we just don’t know which company will be impacted yet.
Drew Could Team Up With Michael Over Their Common Hatred Of Willow
One thing we might notice is Drew teaming up with Michael; they share a common bond: a strong dislike for Willow. It’s easy to picture Drew being so spiteful that he assists Michael in gaining sole custody of their children, knowing it would hurt Willow the most.
While Drew may not be able to get Willow arrested or see her in jail, he could feed Michael information that could be used to blackmail Willow or in custody hearings. Even if it doesn’t lead to criminal charges, Drew helping Michael take Willow’s kids would be a significant act of revenge.
Fans May Want To See Drew, Nina And Willow All In Prison, But It’s Unlikely That Will Happen
Fans may wish to see Drew, Nina, and Willow all face prison time, but that would be quite surprising-it’s uncommon for main characters to face real consequences like jail.
So, we can expect Drew to keep causing trouble for Willow, even if she can’t be locked up. Another tactic Drew might try is stealing the evidence Jack has against him; this would allow him to pursue revenge freely and possibly press charges against his toxic wife, Willow.
However, it’s doubtful Drew’s plans will succeed-the WSB boss has top-notch security, and even if he hires a professional, I believe Brennan would catch whoever he sends.
In summary, Drew’s alliance with Michael could lead to significant trouble for Willow, as he seeks revenge in various ways, but his efforts may ultimately fail due to strong security measures.
Drew May Cause Willow To Lose Her Congressional Seat
Drew might find a way to have Willow removed from her seat in Congress. Regardless of whether he can reclaim the seat, he understands how much Willow loves her role and how dedicated she is to helping the people of Port Charles; this means a lot to her.
Even more troubling is the fact that she excels at it far more than Drew, who mainly misused his authority.
Willow has been guided by Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and is genuinely making a positive impact.
Drew realizes that losing her Congressional seat would deeply affect Willow, and it seems he wants to strip away everything that matters to her.
Drew Won’t Rest Until He Gets Revenge For All That Has Been Done To Him
While Drew has faced a lot of consequences for his actions, most don’t think he deserved everything that happened to him-but it’s doubtful this experience has taught him any valuable lessons. Drew isn’t someone who will change because of this.
Unlike Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), who transformed after his kidnapping, or Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who returns from his WSB ordeal as a different person, it’s likely Drew will remain the same old creep, perhaps even worse, more determined to harm Nina and Willow. We’re all eager to see how this all unfolds.
