General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie Chooses Nathan, But Nathan Chooses Lulu?
General Hospital spoilers reveal the fan base is going wild with theories this past week. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is awake, and we’re all wondering what that’s going to mean for the happy little family she has built with Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
He’s everybody’s first pick for nicest guy in the world, and yet he comes in a close second to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) if you ask most anyone who they think Maxie should be with.
But we have to explore the real consequences of what happens to everyone’s lives — and roles on our fave soap — if Maxie chooses Nathan. Is it all as black and white as it seems?
Reunited and It Feels So Good
It will be the moment we’ve all been waiting for when Maxie first lays eyes on Nathan. That’s a given. But what comes next could be less than what we had hoped for. We can already sense the awkwardness and discouragement in Nathan’s presence.
He’s unsure of what the future holds, and it’s not just because he doesn’t know what Maxie wants; it’s because he knows who he wants — and that’s Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruneing).
While Lulu is preparing to sideline her feelings for Nathan out of respect for Maxie, it doesn’t seem like he’s on the same page.
Maxie Might Surprise Everyone
It’s entirely possible that Lulu is right and Maxie will choose Nathan over Spinelli, but it’s not likely that this is going to happen right out the gate.
I just don’t see Maxie coming home from the Boston clinic, giving Spinelli the boot from their home, and telling him her feelings for Nathan are so strong that they negate the last seven years of life she’s experienced since his “death.”
Still, her shift into recognizing she can’t let go of Nathan might happen over time as she settles in at home.
That could leave people like Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) rather shocked.
Withering on the Vine
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) picked up on some malcontentness Nathan was experiencing in the interrogation room on Wednesday.
Does Nathan not want to be with Maxie? As she tries to bury those feelings in the name of doing the right thing, will that mean going with the flow if Maxie wants to try to make it work with him, even though he’s carrying a torch for her best friend?
Lulu seems intent on letting that go, but what if Nathan doesn’t let her? Will he come clean with Maxie and blow all of their lives to smithereens? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
