General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Becoming Willow’s Victim the Only Way He Can Recoup His Fans?
General Hospital spoilers report Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) is ready to get her hands dirty if that’s what it takes to get her kids back.
While she’s plotting how to make that happen, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has remained out of the picture but reported without change.
He has many hurdles to clear ahead before he ever has a chance at a normal life again. As he attempts to overcome those roadblocks, will Willow be by his side helping him advance, or there to make sure he does anything but make progress? It’s starting to look like Drew’s best bet at getting the fan base back on his side is by becoming Willow’s latest victim. Can they both pull it off?
Doing the Impossible
For at least a year now, the fan base has been up in arms praying for Drew’s exit. Almost no one is left who openly claims they’re a fan of this guy, and many have been ready for him to make his way off the show for a long time.
But Willow’s attack that has left Drew post-stroke and unable to communicate besides blinking his eyes could be the pivot point.
While many fans are thrilled with the new trajectory his storyline is on, I can’t help but suspect this is the way they get us to embrace Drew again — by feeling sorry for him. Will it be that easy?
GH Spoilers Spill Drew Becomes the Victim
It won’t be a hard sell for Drew to make himself a victim. That’s not really his typical motivation anyway, but he won’t have to lift a finger this time to paint himself into that box, which is a good thing, because he literally cannot lift a finger.
Drew won’t have to make himself the victim this time around because Willow is going to do that part for him. It’s hard to imagine what other forms of torture she might have in mind for the guy.
While he can’t speak, she has some reassurance that he won’t be able to rat her out for injecting him with that drug that caused his stroke. But if he advances in his recovery, she’ll have to take steps to stay on top of him.
A Slice of Humble Pie
It’s also possible that this experience will profoundly change Drew. As Willow exacts her revenge, she may take things too far to where even the fans who really can’t stand Drew start to feel like he doesn’t deserve all of that.
Drew is a lot of things, but we shouldn’t forget that he used to be quite different when he was the grieving father of Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) more so than he has been as Congressman Cutthroat.
Could we see that man re-emerge as he struggles to fight his way back from what Willow has done to him? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
