General Hospital Spoilers: Is Cullum About to Become Carly’s New Bestie?
General Hospital spoilers tease WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) has stepped on Port Charles WSB Station Chief Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) toes, and it appears he’s allowed to. He made his authority quite well known on the piers as Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) eavesdropped from nearby.
Now, she’s saddled with the guy, cooped up during a snowstorm at Wyndemere — the one place Jack told her not to go. Conveniently, Cullum is the one guy he didn’t want to become aware of Joss’ existence either.
It appears we’re getting close to finding out why that is. So it would be all too convenient for Cullum to use his access to Joss to also get close to her mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) — a move Jack is sure not to appreciate. But then, it doesn’t seem like Cullum and Jack are keen on respecting one another’s “territory.”
Jack May Not Be All Bad
Jack has made some pretty bad moves since he first came on the scene, and it’s clear he’s been targeting Carly and her family all along.
Carly has had to make peace with this in recent months as she began to realize he used her just to get to her daughter and lure her into the WSB under levels of compromise and pressure that it breaks her heart to imagine.
But just because Jack targeted Joss, that doesn’t mean he didn’t really fall for Carly. Furthermore, his hope that Cullum would never find out about Joss may have much more to do with protecting her than any other nefarious agenda.
If he connects the dots to Jack’s girlfriend’s daughter, we can bet he’ll be keeping a closer watch on Carly — even if that means finding a reason to befriend her.
GH Spoilers Suggest Carly Can Hold Her Own
Carly has been bent on getting even with Jack ever since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) clued her in on her daughter’s secret life, and her boyfriend’s role in making it happen.
Carly wasn’t just devastated to learn that her daughter had been forced to give up the life she dreamt of and put in danger to work as a secret agent. She’s also shattered that Jack lied to her, is continuing to lie to her, and that their relationship isn’t what she thought.
She doesn’t actually have a future with this man, and by the time she’s done with him, he may not have much of one without her.
Who’s the Real Double Agent?
Joss is playing the role of doting daughter to her mother while pushing back under Jack’s employ. She doesn’t seem to respect the boss man as her superior, nor as her mother’s boyfriend.
But that could change if she catches a glimpse of another side of him that suggests he does actually care about the position he’s put her in, and the hole of lies he’s dug for himself with Carly.
Cullum on the other hand, is clearly playing two sides against the middle between Jack and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) — and possibly even Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Meanwhile, Carly is pretending to love her beau while mounting an attack against him with his nemesis, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Will she hitch herself to Cullum as a means of really sticking it to Jack? Which double agent comes out on top? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
