General Hospital (GH) star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) recently asked his State of Mind followers to spread the word so he can get more subscribers on YouTube. But, it didn’t end there. During his podcast, the ABC soap veteran also revealed his upcoming guests. Read on to find out more.
Name-Dropping Some Awesome Guests
During his podcast that focused on how he hoped to keep State of Mind free for subscribers, he enticed them with the possibility that he might try and get “an incredible guest that may be Vanessa Marcil.” However that’s not carved in stone.
Still, his future lineup looks pretty good for GH fans. The real-life Sonny Corinthos promised his ABC fans that they’ll see “The Britch is back” Kelly Thiebaud. Of course, he knows that ABC fans know her as Britt Westbourne. And, he opined, “you guys like her a lot. “
Ever since Kelly appeared as Britt Westbourne again last year, her scenes gripped fans: especially after the revelations about Rocco finding out he’s her son and so on. Perhaps, she’ll talk about the pressure of filming super-fast episodes.
Josh Swickard
Next up, Maurice Benard mentioned Josh Swickard, (Detective Harrison Chase). Currently, General Hospital fans see Josh keeping an eye on his former girlfriend Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Recently, she got off accusations of shooting Drew Cain, (Cameron Mathison).
Maurice also brings in Clancy Brown on State of Mind. He’s not on GH and appeared in movies like The Shawshank Redemption. Plus, Maurice Benard reminded his viewers about John Wick: Chapter 4.
The standout for Maurice came from his performance as “Mr. Krabs.” As Clancy brings 40 years of acting experience it will probably be interesting to hear him talk about that. Plus, knowing Maurice, he’ll draw him out on mental health issues as well.
Keeping The Subscribers Coming
The pitch of his latest podcast focused on keeping the safe haven that he created with his interviews. And, he reminded his followers how his guests find plenty of love when he hosts them.
For his viewers, it’s always a nice mix of famous faces growing up, their entry into the acting world, and the pressures they deal with daily. So, they’re very relatable.
Apart from the stars he talked about, he also hinted at a return episode with Genie Francis (Laura Spencer). In November last year, she appeared in a two-part series with Maurice.
She talked about her work and personal life, her career with General Hospital, and especially her character’s love for Sonny Corinthos. In the second episode, her husband, Jonathan Frakes joined the duo.
