General Hospital Spoilers: Word On The Street Says Sam McCall May Soon Be Resurrected!
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may not be as long gone as the fan base once believed. There may be no more grieved character in GH’s history than Sam.
When viewers got advance notice that she might be tossed from the show, they were devastated — and they let the writers know it. Some went as far as participating in a real-life protest of her termination, seeking to make their voices loud enough to get GH writers to change their minds.
It didn’t work, obviously. On October 30, 2024, Sam was killed by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and the show hasn’t exactly been the same since. Love her or hate her, I’m enjoying the thought that she might come back and kick up dust.
The Leak
A leak that is really more of a rumor asserts that Frank Valentini made a call to a “former leading lady” just before Christmas asking her to return to the show.
If that’s true, the fans and soap blogosphere have essentially deduced that it’s most likely Sam.
Sure, there are plenty of women who have left the hit sudser over the years, but few who would require anything that sounds like the kind of pleading being reported on Frank’s behalf — and essentially none in recent history.
It is also floating around that said former leading lady’s former on-screen partner has been in Frank’s office pushing for this move. That could be a few people though.
GH Spoilers Wonder Who Could It Be Now?
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) might be the most likely guy to pop into our minds when we think about Sam’s partner, but don’t forget how many years Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had invested in that relationship.
Now that Jason is keen on reuniting with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), it would create a firestorm of drama if Sam returns and falls back toward Jason versus Dante.
Of course, that former partner could also be Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who is rumored to be nearing his exit from GH!
What Lies Ahead
Kelly Monaco didn’t exactly leave GH on good terms. In a scathing podcast interview after she left the show, she promised more details were coming about what really happened behind the scenes.
There’s just one problem: those events never transpired. She never followed up. Many wondered if she was silenced by GH writers or ABC, perhaps given a cease and desist or mildly encouraged to pipe down and maybe she’d get her job back.
