It’s been a year since General Hospital (GH) star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) lost his home in the Palisades fire. He and his ex-wife, Vanessa Mathison both shared some of their feelings about the loss in the last few days. Read on to see what they said about it.
Vanessa & Cameron Posted
When Vanessa shared some old photos of their home, she credited a professional photographer for the pics. So, we can’t show you those. But, when Cameron posted his own reel on Instagram, GH fans could see the devastation.
In her post, Vanessa said:
Standing on the plot of land where our house once was. One year ago today at approximately 3am, the Eaton fire consumed our home and all of our precious items it held inside. We are still healing. Sending love to all the 13,000 families who lost their homes in both the Eaton and Palisades fires.
Cameron’s Reel
Over on his post, the real-life Drew Cain said to his General Hospital followers:
A year since the fire. Loss changed us Love carried us. Sending so much love to all those affected.
Vanessa reacted, saying “I will be forever grieving this loss.”
As Vanessa had locked comments on her post, her comment on Cameron Mathison’s post gave folks a chance to say something to her. One of them wrote, “@vanessa.mathison I am always keeping you and your family in my prayers.”
