General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s Investigation Heats Up, Isaiah Pushing Him Toward the Wrong Suspect?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) knew what they were doing when they walked into Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) hospital room and challenged him to leverage that blackmail threat once and for all. Portia, specifically, was done playing games.
But Drew backed down, knowing he no longer held that leverage over her, even though he could certainly blow the whistle and spark an investigation into her actions as Co-Chief of Staff at General Hospital.
But as Drew scaled back from his threats, Portia and Curtis quickly realized they had him right where they wanted him, and he no longer had anything to hold over their heads. They haven’t processed this long enough to question why that is.
We just saw an interface between Curtis and Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), and it left us wondering why the hunky doctor would dare confront him or involve himself in Portia’s personal life
It looks like Isaiah is getting in over his head, and this may just be the start of it.
Drew’s Right-Hand Man
Kai has been by Drew’s side since the moment he was shot, even though he was willing to let the guy die if it meant he and Trina didn’t get caught there. Now it’s turning his stomach every day that he has to play the role of his gopher and right-hand man, but Trina keeps pushing him to keep up the act and fulfill his role here so as to not draw Drew over target.
As Kai wages this internal war with himself, the stakes are about to rise much higher when he learns Drew thinks Curtis or Portia shot him and stole the evidence from his safe.
Knowing Drew is aware the evidence is missing will be worrisome enough, but realizing he is ready to blame someone else for shooting him — one of Trina’s parents, no less — will gut him.
Drew’s Theory Pokes Holes in Portia’s Narrative
We know it’s not possible that Portia shot Drew. She was wrapped up in the sheets with Isaiah, but that’s the last thing she wants Curtis or Trina to find out about. If Drew learns of her actual whereabouts that night, he may We’ve already seen Curtis testify to his father, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), that he didn’t do it.

So, that theory is kind of nonsense at this point. But Portia claims not to have an alibi for the night of Drew’s shooting.
So far, that hasn’t mattered because no one knows she would’ve had any motive to go after him.
But those tables may be about to turn, and if Isaiah senses Drew is about to pull punches in Portia’s direction, he could vouch for her and blow her cover in a totally different way.
Isaiah Gets His Hands Dirty
For a moment, Drew was eyeing blaming his shooting on Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) just to stick it to the guy, but his desire to see Curtis and Portia go down in flames may take the cake — especially if Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) changes her mind in light of Michael telling her he wants her to be in the kids’ lives.
Will Drew’s focus shift to Portia, and if so, will Isaiah make a desperate move and out their affair to drive Drew away from blaming Portia — who as it turns out, does have an alibi — in favor of getting the blame placed on Curtis, the husband he wishes to banish from Portia’s life to make room for himself? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
