General Hospital Chris McKenna Proudly Shouts Out His Acting Student’s Achievement
General Hospital star Chris McKenna, who plays the role of Jack Brennan in the ABC show, recently shouted out a student for their latest achievement. If you don’t know, apart from acting, he also teaches others in stagecraft. Read on to find out who caught his attention this weekend.

Fans heard that McKenna teaches other people when he talked about how much success he had in front of the cameras. Remind Magazine cited him as saying, “I learned so much doing soaps. I teach acting classes now, and I tell them what a valuable training ground it is, and how the actors on soaps are the hardest working actors in this in this industry and don’t get nearly enough credit.”
In fact, he’s very involved in coaching, although he doesn’t post about it on social media much. He runs the McKenna Studios, and greatly assists people wanting to know more about polishing their craft. The real-life Jack Brennan therefore feels very proud because one of his students is being recognized.
GH Star Shouts Out Kelly Hooper
On Sunday night, Chris McKenna took to his Instagram account and shouted out Kelly Hooper. She looked very smart in a red dress, and clearly they seemed very relaxed with each other.
He shared photos of them standing together next to a big poster. In his caption, he wrote:
Very proud of my student @kelly.hooper for her hilarious short film #themailgazefilm which has been accepted to the @austinfilmfest. Congratulations!
Fans React In The Comments
ABC fans liked that the real-life Jack Brennan took the time to boost his student. One of them wrote, “That’s awesome chris.” Meanwhile, another commenter simply wrote, “Awesome” and followed it up with a long line of red hearts.
Another follower penned a longer message saying, “Congratulations to your beautiful student we know you’re proud of her this is a gorgeous picture of you and her.”
Kelly Hooper also responded to the post by the GH star, saying, “Thank you Chris!!! You’re the best”
More About The Festival
The Austin Film Festival is about to host their 32nd annual event. It runs from October 23rd to 30th. Writers were selected from thousands of entries in their script category. Not much is known about The Mail Gaze and how Kelly ties into it. What is known is that it’s a comedy. Apparently, she also enjoys singing and dancing and studied acting because she got bitten by the bug as a child.
