General Hospital Spoilers: What is Sidwell’s Goal with Helena’s Dagger and Alexis?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is facing a tough situation—extorted by Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) regarding Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
To make matters worse, both Kristina and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) are upset with her after discovering the documents Alexis prepared to have Kristina institutionalized.
Sidwell And Son-Cassadine Junk Collectors?
Alexis is navigating the complexities of Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) joining the firm, which has resulted in more interactions with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) than she anticipated, because Marco is Sidwell’s son.
Alexis is currently in a delicate emotional state, making it an unfortunate time for Sidwell to send the Cassadine dagger to the law office.
This is the very dagger that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) used to murder Alexis’ mother right before her eyes.
During Alexis’ initial visit to Sidwell at Wyndemere, he surprised her by presenting the dagger, which she had previously discarded into the water, believing it long gone. At that time, her ex-husband Julian Jerome (William DeVry) had held it to her throat, a fakeout to sway his sister Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) away from Alexis.
Although Sidwell professed ignorance about the dagger’s significance, one has to wonder if he was truly unaware-that seems quite hard to accept!
Is Sidwell Sending A Message?
“Sending a message” is a common tactic of mob bosses, of which Julian and his late full sister Olivia and their half-sister Ava definitely were.
Might Sidwell be sending a message of some sort by redelivering this dagger to Alexis again? After Alexis declined the dagger he offered her as a gift, now he has sent the dagger to her office, despite knowing she didn’t want it; what could his motive be?
Sidwell remains mysterious; he claims to be unfamiliar with the Cassadines and their history in Port Charles, but that could very well be a deception.
If Sidwell possesses more knowledge about the Cassadines than he admits or has connections to them, sending Alexis the dagger might be his way of signaling his association with the family.
Sidwell Shocked Those Who Know Him By Moving To Port Charles
Sidwell’s unexpected arrival in Port Charles shocked many; given the WSB and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) eagerness to pin a crime on him, it was peculiar for him be so visible.
He even purchased the Cassadine family estate-coincidentally, this happened just as Alexis took on the reluctant role of trustee for the Cassadine fortune.
Is it possible that Sidwell’s seemingly endless wealth is linked to the Cassadines, and he seeks a share of the trust, similar to Ava’s intentions? Could he be a long-lost relative of the Cassadine clan, or does he have another connection to the family?

The Dagger Represents A Legacy Of Death To Alexis
Seeing Alexis wield the dagger as she opened the door was unsettling, especially since she had just brought it home. She appeared quite at ease with it, which is unusual for someone handling the weapon that took their mother’s life; the Cassadine dagger carries a legacy of violence and despair.
Helena, its previous owner, was a ruthless killer devoid of ethics, known for casting curses-could the dagger itself be cursed?
While Alexis seems relatively stable, she is still a Cassadine and currently grappling with intense emotional turmoil. In her fragile state, possessing such a sinister and lethal weapon could pose a significant risk.
Ric And Ava Are Putting Themselves At Risk
Ric and Ava should stop threatening her daughter while Alexis has the dagger-keeping such a dangerous item could affect Alexis negatively.
They might need to be more afraid of Alexis than Kristina now; Kristina shouldn’t be near Helena’s dagger because she is unpredictable and acts on her feelings.
If the dagger is around, she could easily use it to harm someone like Helena did-it might be best for Alexis to have Kristina committed or to destroy the dagger.
This time, she should melt it down or break it instead of just throwing it in the water, as that didn’t work. Alexis needs to find a better way to sever her connection to Helena before someone gets hurt.
