General Hospital Spoilers: Scott Clifton Opens Up About Dillon Quartermaine’s Return And The Future Of Michael’s Character
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Scott Clifton recently responded to the excitement among fans regarding his potential comeback as Dillon Quartermaine. Is it possible that another Quartermaine will make their way back to Port Charles following the recasting of Michael Corinthos, last portrayed by Chad Duell?
Clifton Played Dillon From 2003-2007
Scott Clifton portrayed Dillon from 2003 to 2007, leading fans to speculate about a potential return to GH.
While Robert Palmer Watkins was the last to play Dillon Quartermaine, many believe Clifton could reprise the role. Since 2010, Clifton has been known as Liam Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful, but Liam is facing a dire situation due to an inoperable brain tumor.
The show is ramping up the tension hinting at a possible tragic end for his character. If Liam’s storyline concludes, it might open the door for Scott Clifton to take on a new role, perhaps stepping in as the new Michael if Duell opts not to come back.
It’s Too Early To Predict A Dillon Return Or Clifton As A Michael Recast
It’s easy to envision GH wanting to bring Clifton back to reprise his role as Dillon Quartermaine – or even to take on the role of Michael! However, it’s still a bit premature to make any solid predictions about Clifton returning as Dillon.
In a recent interview with SOD, Clifton admitted that he isn’t certain how his character on Bold and the Beautiful will develop.
Consequently, GH isn’t currently on his mind, as he’s fully dedicated to delivering a stellar performance in his ongoing B&B storyline. “I’m not thinking about General Hospital or any other show at all; my focus is solely on doing my best to tell this story-that’s what truly matters to me,” Clifton emphasized.
If Liam Dies, That Might Be Another Story
Naturally, Clifton might begin considering his job prospects if Liam’s situation takes a turn for the worse and the character actually is killed off-that would be a different story! This could pave the way for discussions with the higher-ups at GH regarding Clifton’s possible return as Dillon, since there would be lots of storyline possibilities.
With rumors circulating about a recasting of Michael Corinthos, Dillon’s reappearance could add some substantial depth to the Quartermaine storyline, even if Scott wouldn’t be stepping into the role of Michael!
