General Hospital spoilers spill Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been hanging around Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) since the moment he heard the news that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had died. He knows all too well how this feels, being a bereaved parent himself.
Alexis doesn’t want to be a burden to anyone, but someone has to take care of her and it doesn’t look like her other two daughters — Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) — are equipped to be a source of support for their mother right now.
Moreover, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) hasn’t been around, and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) has moved to Washington. Suddenly, Sonny is the primary person in Alexis’ corner, and we have to wonder what path her grief will take her down with him.
If there is romance ahead for this former couple, her ex-husband, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) — who loathes Sonny — may have something to say about it.

Way back in the day, Sonny’s first wife — Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar) — died just days after telling him she was pregnant with his child. Years ago, Sam gave birth to Sonny’s stillborn daughter, Lila McCall.
Then, a few years back, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) died in a car explosion meant for Sonny. He knows what it’s like to be the bereaved parent who is never going to see his child again.
That’s going to shine through as he comforts Alexis and she has to come to terms with knowing how he has felt all these years. It may help her to see Sonny in a very new light.
GH Spoilers Say the Gossip Mill is Sure to Start Churning
Right now, no one is questioning Sonny’s late-night trips to Alexis’ place. It’s not abnormal for him to rally around the people he cares about in times of crisis.
Even though he and Alexis are far from close, they have gotten along for the better part of Kristina’s life because they had to.
Now, the idea that they may reconcile in a romantic way is going to make its way around town and leave some friends and family rather surprised. Aren’t Alexis’ standards a bit higher than that? Okay, maybe not.
General Hospital Spoilers — Ric is Sure to Meddle
One person is certain to have an opinion about where Sonny hangs his hat a night. Ric blew back into town recently to comfort his grieving daughter, Molly, when she lost her own child. This family has really been through the wringer.
He and Alexis haven’t had much face time since he came back, but he’s been cordial and only really shows his unhinged side when Sonny comes around.
So we would expect no less when Sonny comes around Alexis and is far more welcomed than he has ever been.
What gives? Sonny and Alexis didn’t have the past that Ric shared with Alexis, nor a marriage.
