General Hospital Spoilers: Can Ric’s Relationship with Molly Withstand Him Siding with Ava?

General Hospital Spoilers: Can Ric's Relationship with Molly Withstand Him Siding with Ava?

General Hospital spoilers report Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) may not have let onto it in front of her sisters and mother, but she’s none too pleased with her dad right now.

Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was reluctant to represent Ava Jerome (Maura West) when Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) originally proposed the idea, but he came around to reconsidering pretty quickly — as did Ava about accepting his offer.

Now, it seems these two are getting pretty chummy — and Molly wasn’t thrilled to hear they were clinking glasses and yucking it up at the PC Grill like all was well.

She is grieving the loss of her child and has finally processed her emotions enough to feel solid in her claim that Ava is responsible, even if Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is too.

Now, she’s going to put Ric in a pretty precarious position if she expects him to drop the case just because she has shifted some of the blame to Ava’s corner. How can this possibly work out in a way that keeps this father-daughter relationship intact?

General Hospital Spoilers — News Flash

Recently, we saw Molly and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) decide they were finally on the same page. It was a relief for fans of the couple who really don’t want to see them torn apart by their shared grief over losing baby Irene Marie Davis Ashford.

While they’ve both been going through the motions and trying to make peace with their anger toward Kristina, they freely acknowledged Irene would still be here if it weren’t for Ava, too.

Now, Molly’s feelings about her dad being Ava’s attorney and getting her off the hook have changed. He couldn’t have seen that coming.

GH Spoilers Gossip Ric Takes a Stand…with Ava

Is Ric defenseless in this situation? Perhaps not. We hate to defend the guy, but he may have a valid point. Molly hasn’t spoken up about her feelings on this front until now.

That signaled to Ric that she didn’t care that he was representing her. At the same time, he never did come forward and ask for her blessing before accepting the case.

Was that in poor form? Should he bow out now that Molly feels differently? Word on the street is regardless of how Molly feels, Ric is going to stand firm on defending Ava’s role in this and casting all blame on Kristina. Will that force Molly to defend her sister instead?

General Hospital Spoilers — Molly and TJ Come Together

Molly and TJ may have to act as a united front to get through this. First, Molly felt abandoned by her mother — Alexis Davis (Nancy lee Grahn) — who was clearly giving preferential treatment and first consideration to Kristina over Molly.

Now, she’s going to feel cast aside by her father — who has already been absent for the majority of her life. If he’s only sticking around in town to see this case through, versus being there for his daughter, then we just might see Molly go up against him and Ava.

Fortunately, it looks like we’ll see her do so with TJ by her side. Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
