General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Shows His Brave Side As He Tries To Help Adam

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will show his brave side as he tries to help Adam Wright (Joshua Benard). Dex stayed behind in the dorm with Adam, who was very drunk, while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) went home after finding out her grandma died.

General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Heller Grew Up In A Very Bad Family

Dex recently opened up to Josslyn telling her how he grew up in a very bad family-his father cheated on and beat his mother, and his brothers beat him.

The only way he could escape is by joining the army so when Dex and Joss found Adam drunk from a frat party saying his life was over, both were concerned.

Adam said his parents found out he lied about why he didn’t come home for holiday break and now his life was over, his perfectionistic parents finding out his true grades.

Being at the top of his class at 99 is a failure in his perfectionistic parents’ eyes, and the pressure is so great Adam takes medicine for it. The first thing in both Joss and Dex’s minds seeing the young man so drunk was probably if he’d drank with his meds.

GH Spoilers: Adam Wright’s Problems Remind Dex Heller Of His Own

The stressful situation at Adam’s house and his problems kind of remind Dex of his own at that age, even though they are different, the stress is the same.

Seeing Adam’s stress and worry firsthand over the past couple of days takes Dex back to his own stressful home growing up, and he’d even mentioned to Adam how he escaped.

But Dex can see that Adam wouldn’t be able to handle the Army life-honestly, Dex couldn’t either; he was dishonorably discharged-it’s an act of bravery to try and help Adam.

The poor kid is being bullied by his own parents like Dex was by his brothers, only Adam’s parents don’t beat him up!

General Hospital Spoilers: Trying To Keep Adam Wright Calm

Dex can see that Adam has an extreme case of anxiety and his parents and their perfectionism are only making it worse. They threatened to pull his funding and put him in a stricter school that would make him toe the line and excel.

Worse yet for Adam, they threatened to make him live at home, which sounds like an extremely scary and stressful place.

While Joss is spending family time with her family and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is fighting his own battles, Dex tries to keep Adam calm as best he can. Dex really feels sorry for Adam and relates to his pain and stress and shows his brave side to try and give him some stability.
