Passion with Esme Prince Exposed
GH spoilers reveal that Nikolas slept with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and kept it a secret for a while. Of course, secrets never stay buried forever in soaps. Eventually, Ava found out about the forbidden moment of passion and was understandably furious.
It was the ultimate betrayal, especially considering everything Esme had done to Ava as well as to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

During the showdown, Esme tried to rub the betrayal in Ava’s face. However, Ava’s main goal was to get Esme to exonerate Trina. Esme wasn’t going to do that and the two women had a fierce confrontation. After Esme fell over the parapet, Nikolas tried to make it look as if the young woman left town.
Afterward, Ava was going to continue with the divorce. However, Nikolas convinced Ava to stay married to him or face possible murder charges.
More recently, Ava and Nikolas were fighting at the Quartermaine charity picnic. Then, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) walked in and learned about the betrayal. Making the situation worse, Nikolas blamed Ava for everything.
Blaming Nikolas Cassadine
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Ava will likely survive the hook attack. However, she doesn’t know who tried to kill her with the hook. Since the confrontation with Nikolas and Spencer overhearing just happened before the attack, Ava might blame her husband. Even if Ava knows in her heart that Nikolas didn’t attack her, she would use it to get payback.
General Hospital Spoilers: Another Attack?
Not only could Ava blame Nikolas for attacking her but might tell the police that he is the one who got rid of Esme. That would send Nikolas to prison for sure. However, what if there is another attack with the hook and Nikolas is in police custody when it happens? That would certainly complicate Ava’s plan for revenge. It would also make Port Charles stand on high alert.
