Some people just have all that luck, right? Clearly, we are talking about General Hospital star Steve Burton, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap.

That’s because there’s heavy speculation suggesting that there is on alum of the soap that is quite jealous that the actor seems to have special status on the show.
And that actor just happens to be Kelly Monaco, who used to play Sam McCall on the show. It was long rumored that one of the reasons why Kelly was pink slipped from General Hospital is because she asked for time off a little too often and to the point where she was becoming unreliable for filming.
Yet, it seems like General Hospital producers are always willing and ready to give Steve what he needs and even granted him a few months of vacation time from the show when he recently requested it.
In his statement to the press, Steve said, “Hey everyone, I wanted to share that I’ll be taking a short break from General Hospital. I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family. I’m grateful for all the support and will be back this summer.”
For Kelly, she just can’t understand why the producers are so willing to bend over backwards for Steve when she basically asked for the same thing. There’s heavy speculation suggesting that she just needed some time off from the soap, yet no one was willing to give it to her.
What’s Next For Kelly Monaco?
After all, Kelly has been dealing with a lot of pain these last few years. Her house burned down and she was deeply affected by the loss of two of General Hospital’s greatest actors – Tyler Christopher and her former partner, Billy Miller.
And as much as Kelly just wants to move on with her life, each time she hears about someone getting special treatment on the show, she just can’t understand why she wasn’t given the same. And it seems like at this point she may never know, either.
So far the producers of the soap have not made any comments about the rumors just yet.
