General Hospital (GH) actress Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays the role of Alexis Davis, and her daughter Kate recently embarked on an exciting trip to Japan. Recently. the news of their Far East adventure was shared by Nancy on social media.
Up, Up. And Away
On April 14, Nancy posted a photo on her Instagram profile page featuring herself and Kate relaxing on a bed. The pair playfully adopted poses reminiscent of Japanese culture. In it, Nancy Lee Grahn wrote in her caption, “Greetings from Tokyo.”
Quickly, fans filled the comments section with enthusiastic responses. One follower exclaimed, “Awesome! You made it. Have a great time Dolls.”
Many other comments followed, including sentiments like, “If I were you, I would beg them to let me stay there! I’m too old. but I would leave here in a hot minute if I could live in another country!!! My choice would be Ireland!!!”
Next, another fan shared their own travel plans, writing, “Ooh! Can’t wait to hear more about it! I’m going in October.” Well wishes also poured in, such as “Enjoy your trip! Looking great” and “Great mother-daughter adventures.”
A Previous Fun Time Was Spoiled
This trip follows a bit of a let-down that the ABC star mentioned on social media. On her special day–a birthday in late February, Kate felt unwell. At the time, the singer sat in bed wearing a head covering and a face mask, clearly not feeling her best.
Nancy told her followers that she attended a special event, a meet-and-greet, on what was also her daughter’s birthday. However, their planned celebration ended up disrupted. “I met up with my bday girl last night to head out of JFK for a wk vacay which is now averted,” Nancy shared.
But, she added, “I arranged a birthday cake delivery for Kate, who was suffering from “influenza A.” Instead of leaving, Nancy stayed with her daughter, and they felt “happy to be safe and comfy and grateful to be with each other albeit in separate rooms.”

This isn’t the first time Nancy used her platform to support her daughter. The proud mother previously urged her GH fans to check out Kate Grahn’s music, announcing the release of a new single.
Breaking into the music industry is a challenge, but Kate’s gaining experience, sharing her music on YouTube and performing live. In mid-January, Nancy proudly noted Kate’s participation in the MusiCares Benefit concert for the LA fires.
Leaving The Daytime Drama?
Actually, not long before Kate’s illness, some rumors circulated suggesting Nancy might lose her role as Alexis Davis on the ABC show. In fact, it was attributed to her outspoken political views. Allegations even surfaced about lawsuits over her contempt for Donald Trump.
While Nancy’s open about her political opinions, following the 2024 elections, no evidence supports claims of her being sued. Although some negative posts appeared online, they generally haven’t garnered much attention.
