General Hospital (GH) spoilers remind fans that young actress Scarlett Spears plays the adorable offspring of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and knocks it out of the park with every scene she is in.
News recently broke about Spears snagging a major role, playing a legendary television character of the past!
Wait … What … Dora The Explorer?
Reports reveal that Spears scored the part of ‘young Dora’ in the Dora the Explorer live-action feature film, Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado. Meanwhile, actress Samantha Lorraine will be playing the main role, taking over from Isabela Merced, who was originally in the first live-action movie of the Dora franchise, Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
Currently available on Paramount+, the film is a new family flick that centers around the world’s greatest explorer and her friends as they make their way through the dangerous Amazonian jungle looking for the ancient treasure to ensure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
Spears’ Instagram account is filled with fun photos and reels from the movie, and during the time she filmed the project, which was shot in Colombia in August 2024

The good news is, Spears is beefing up her resume, as most girls her age can’t exactly say that they’ve starred in a major Paramount+ movie before, right? The even better news is that it looks like GH fans don’t have to worry about Spears going anywhere.
She’s still very active in the land of Port Charles, bossing Sonny around, keeping Carly on her toes, and enjoying fun with the rest of her Corinthos/Spencer siblings (plus, her nieces and nephews!)
Scarlett Spears was cast in the Donna role in 2022 and was most recently seen during the 2025 Nurses Ball festivities, where she participated in the kids’ performance, which was the one that closed the show!

Scarlett is wonderful as Donna Corinthos...As far as Drew and Willow are concerned, they need to get caught and dealt with accordingly.
As far as Scarlett is concerned she is quite the Young Actress her playing Donna Corinthos!! Everytime she's on GH she plays her part I would give her an A+!! Now lets jump to Drew & Willow Please GH Writers send them Packing off to DC or completely off GH!! It's a Shame GH involved Willow with Drew which was a BIG MISTAKE, before that we all liked her and her storyline!! Now being with Drew who No-One can STAND she's now on the GET OUT OF TOWN or Leave GH PERMENTLY!! This Storyline that these Writers made is ONE that should have GONE in the TRASH!! We are all Sick of it, there are MANY STORYLINES that have been on Hold that WE would much rather Watch!! So GH Writers get moving before you lose MORE FANS than YOU ALL READY HAVE !!
