As it turns out, her portrayer, Scarlett Spears, is busy as well, taking Hollywood by storm! The young actress recently announced she’s joined Toy Story 5, and all the details are below.
Scarlett Spears’ Toy Story 5 Role
The Toy Story 5 trailer has recently been released, and it looks like Buzz, Woody, and the gang are about to embark on another adventure! Spears recently announced her Toy Story news on her Instagram account, run by her mom.
A photo was uploaded of Spears, next to the character she is voicing, “Bonnie”, with the Toy Story franchise logo. Bonnie is the little girl who owns the group of toys, as per the last Toy Story movie.
The caption on Spears’ IG post read, “So incredibly proud to announce that @miss.scarlett.brielle will be stepping into the role of Bonnie in Toy Story 5.”
It went on to say, “Grateful, excited, and beyond proud to see her bring heart, joy, and fun to a character we all love .” The IG caption wrapped up with, “To infinity… and beyond!!! Here we go. In Theaters June 19!”
Spears’ Star Power
Spears has been playing Donna Corinthos since 2022. With that said, she’s got quite a movie career going, as she recently played the role of Young Glinda in the second installment of the Wicked franchise, Wicked: For Good, too.
In this latest Toy Story movie, it looks like Bonnie (Spears’ character) will get a “Lily Pad” tablet device as a gift and slowly start to choose technology over her toys! Of course, Woody, Buzz, and the gang have faced their fair share of obstacles in the past, so they are sure to overcome this one, as well!
