General Hospital Spoilers: Willow’s Premature Birth Plan Escalates Into an Emergency C-Section

General Hospital spoilers reveal Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has a major decision to make soon that won’t be as easy as she told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) it would be. She’s going to receive news soon that a bone marrow match has been found, but Willow won’t have an easy time accepting the help, no matter how badly she wants it.

Furthermore, when she realizes it really is time to give birth to her daughter, she’s going to feel immense guilt about inducing labor prematurely to save her own life while risking her child’s. Last but not least, when the birth process doesn’t go as expected, Willow will have to be rushed into an emergency C-section that could result in injury or death to both mom and baby.

General Hospital Spoilers — Hold Up!

When Willow learned that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was her mother, Nina quickly became her best shot at a bone marrow donation match. Knowing that, Willow and Michael spoke about the reality of having to induce labor early in order for Willow to go through with receiving a bone marrow transplant.

It left Michael very concerned that Willow wasn’t willing to jump through that hoop just yet. She ended up telling him she wouldn’t hold off on inducing labor any longer than her doctors recommended, but she might have difficulty pulling that trigger when it really comes down to it.

GH Spoilers Hint Labor Doesn’t Come Easy This Early

Willow would really prefer to give birth naturally, but she knows the odds are not great that her body will take to being induced so early in her pregnancy. She isn’t due to give birth for another six weeks or more. It is common for induction not to work when a woman isn’t close to laboring on her own anyway, but Willow is going to give it her best shot. She’s hoping that she can give her prematurely born daughter the most smooth transition into the world given that the first weeks of her life at likely to be turbulent.

General Hospital Spoilers — A C-Section Is Sometimes the Best Option

When the induction doesn’t take, Willow is bound to feel a bit discouraged, but an emergency C-section will immediately become a reality when complications arise that could put her baby girl in jeopardy. As Willow is whisked away to the operating room and prepped for a surgical birth, Michael will be pacing the halls waiting to accompany her and praying their daughter is okay. The whole Corinthos and Quartermaine clan will rally around them during this time, including baby girl Corinthos’ new grandmother, Nina.
