General Hospital spoilers tease that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Matheson) shocked everyone in Port Charles when he decided to run for Congress.
Drew has always been a man of principle, so it really did makes sense once the shock wore off. The bigger issue hindering Drew’s political ambition is his past.
As viewers know, Drew suffered from amnesia for many years, and even believed for a time that he was his own twin brother, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). That’s certainly a consideration voters may have when deciding whether to vote for Drew.
General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Quartermaine was brainwashed
But even when Drew’s memory issues were resolved, he still faced other issues thanks to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Faison brainwashed Drew to become a mindless assassin if he was exposed to specific triggers.
Both Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) took advantage of this and controlled Drew for a time. It’s not clear if Drew was ever deprogrammed or if he just hasn’t been exposed to the tarot card needed to activate him.
GH Spoilers – Insider Trading With Carly Spencer
Even Drew’s tenure in the private sector have been controversial. Drew and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) secretly planned to merge Aurora Media with ELQ. But Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) discovered their plan and bought a large amount of stock in Aurora, hoping to help.
But since she was acting on secret information she received from her lover Drew, Carly’s purchase was actually a crime. Drew took the blame for crime and actually spent several months in prison. He was finally released but not before he was beaten.
General Hospital Spoilers – Willow Tait may be Drew Quartermaine’s biggest scandal!
But even with his checkered past, Drew’s seems to have a good chance at winning the election. However, another scandal could blow everything out of the water. Drew kissed the very married Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) the day he announced his campaign.
So far, Drew and Willow have managed to stay away from each other GHever since but as Drew goes on the campaign trail, temptation could once again rear it’s ugly head.
It’s possible Drew and Willow could sleep together if they find themselves alone together. And if that gets out, it could blow the campaign sky high and cost Drew the election.
What do you think?
Is Drew a good candidate for Congress. Should his past make a difference with voters? Can Drew and Willow manage to stay away from each other?

Drew is a boring DWEEB. And why in the he ll would Willow go on the campaign trail with him, if she's trying to stay away from him? Stupid storyline!
Hell no willow should not go on the campaign trail with Drew pls don’t write that in the script.think abt two innocent children and Michael who has had enough to deal with
I agree with you MJ. Why would she go on the campaign trail when she's married to Michael. She says that she loves him (Michael)but yet she's on the campaign trail with Drew. Guess she doesn't love like she says she does.
I agree. She quit nursing after only 5 minutes of being on staff to spend more time with the kids. Drew is the most boring person on GH. He needs to go and go quickly. He’s not even interesting with Nina. GH is portraying him like a pervert. Willow is young enough to be his daughter and he is shaking the sheets with her mother. Can’t stand him.
I can't believe they would move in this direction with Willow & Drew. Awful writing.
Well well what do we have here, little miss goodie two shoes turned out to be a hoe.
Not a fan of Drew at all but Willow needs to STOP and think about all the pain she will cause to innocent people! Drew is not worth all that!
