General Hospital Spoilers: Will Sam’s Death Spur Jason to Join Forces with Brennan and Leave the Mob?
General Hospital Spoilers leak Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is dead, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is a single father for the first time in his life.
He’s never had to truly step up to the plate and man the parenting ship before. Jason was always the parent that was the loose cannon.
He could come and go as he pleased — and sometimes against his wishes — because Sam was the constant in her children’s lives. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) was able to have stability with his mother even though he never stopped longing for approval and affection from his dad.
Now, Jason may have to consider that Sam was right all along. Maybe his lifestyle is far too dangerous for a child. So, will he part ways with his son — or his career?
General Hospital Spoilers — The Mob is No Place for a Child
Jason wants to stick by his son’s side in the wake of Sam’s death, but he also doesn’t know what that will look like if he tries.
Furthermore, he’s not keen on the idea of splitting Danny up from his little sister, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante).
But right now, no other options have been presented to him. Perhaps by the time Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gets around to letting him know what her plans are, he will have already settled on what he wants.
Or, maybe she’ll make it easy for him to sidestep this responsibility. He has to be worried that his place above Bobbie’s is the last of his concerns. Rather, his career doesn’t make it very safe for him to have a child in his care full-time. Sam was right about that.
GH Spoilers Report the Coffee Business Could Serve Him Well
Of course, when Jason first came back to Port Charles from two years away when everyone thought he was dead, he had to stick to the letter of the law while working for FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).
Keeping his hands clean was easier when he was strictly running Corinthos Coffee and not dabbling in the mob.
Now, he may be forced to go back to that line of work just to keep himself out of trouble and his son out of harm’s way. Hey, it’s only a few years before Danny will be out of the house, right?
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Has Other Options
If being a coffee importer doesn’t suit his fancy, Jason still has an offer flapping in the wind from WSB Chief Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure).
Brennan saw the way Jason handled himself with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in Africa and he’s interested in having him on his side inside the WSB. Obviously, working for yet another federal agent is the last thing Jason wants to do, but it could give him the cover he needs to keep his kid safe.
At the same time, Anna wouldn’t mind if Jason was working on the right side of the law. Do you think he’ll make the switch and leave Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the dust?
