General Hospital Spoilers: Will Maxie Stand By Her Man If He Ends Up Behind Bars?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has no idea what her beau, Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) has been up to at work.

They tend to keep much of that stuff under wraps, understanding that it’s best if she doesn’t know what he does all the time. That way, she’s never compromised or forced to testify against him about his business activities.

There’s a difference between choosing not to ask and not wanting to know. How comfortable Maxie is with not knowing tells a story here.

Is she simply maintaining plausible deniability, or does she want to pretend Spinelli isn’t really up to what he’s up to?

There has never been too much focus on Maxie’s feelings about Spinelli’s choice in work. We know that his ex-girlfriend, Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), wasn’t keen on how he spent his time.

She felt his ties to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) were too dangerous, which led to Spinelli leaving that field of work for a time.

But eventually, he came right back to it — missing ‘Stone Cold’ and the world he belongs to. As for Maxie, she’s always been aware that he dabbles in hacking and other not-so-legal elements, and yet it’s neve been an issue for her or her family — even her stepdad, Mac Scorpio.

GH Spoilers Hint This Time is Different

Things sure have changed between Maxie and Spinelli over the years. Their recently rekindled romance is a testament to that. Maxie is still afraid she’s going to disappoint him or break his heart.

At the same time, they’re both loving every minute of falling in love all over again. But the bulk of Spinelli’s past misdeeds in the cyber stratosphere have occurred in the time since he and Maxie were last together.

Anything he did prior to that, she may have written off more easily because they were young and didn’t stand to lose much if he got caught. With three kids relying on her now, that’s not the case.

Will Maxie continue to turn a blind eye to what Spinelli is up to — and how can she once he’s cuffed and carted off to jail?

If Spinelli and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) are caught by the FBI, it stands to reason that Spinelli will be in far more trouble than the fair Samantha will be. After all, she just commissioned his work — and he may not even rat her out.

Her fingerprints aren’t anywhere on this. But it won’t be a stretch for Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) to figure out they were working together — the same way they pretended to be the day they set him up to steal his credentials at the Metro Court pool.
