General Hospital Spoilers: Will Jason Come to Regret Telling Sonny No and Deferring to the Quartermaine’s?
General Hospital Spoilers report Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) took Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) by surprise when he said he wouldn’t remove Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) from the Quartermaine compound — a move that he knew would break Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) heart.
It was a surprising turn of events to see Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) appeal to Jason’s heart and have it actually work. Still, Sonny left the mansion noting that this matter wasn’t over, and it’s anyone’s guess whether he meant that only with regards to the situation with his grandchildren.
At some point, we imagine he and Jason will have a frank discussion about what that was about. Is Jason growing soft?
General Hospital Spoilers — No Regrets?
Jason isn’t used to telling Sonny no. It’s a new behavior for him, as is his willingness to consider anything Tracy says as rational. But alas, the time has apparently come where Jason may sometimes choose his alliance with his bloodline over that of his brother in arms, Sonny.
These two are almost literally as thick as thieves. They’ve made life-changing decisions together, and while Jason isn’t the type to have regrets, we are starting to think there might be a few on his list.
Could one of them be his decision to walk away from his family all those years ago after that fateful accident that left him without memory of his life as a Quartermaine?
GH Spoilers Leak Old Habits Die Hard
Just because Jason deferred to Tracy this time doesn’t mean that he’s going to institute a pattern for that behavior going forward. That being said, it was rather unusual that Jason wouldn’t contest Tracy when he not only believed she was wrong to keep the kids from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) at a time like this, but he also knew it wasn’t legal for her to do so.
He could have tested Tracy’s willingness to make a scene or end up in the papers with another Quartermaine scandal, but he didn’t.
Why not? Is there more Quartermaine lurking inside of him than he thought?
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Has More to Say
If we know Sonny, he’s going to have the last word on this matter — or at least make every effort to have it. While there has always been a level of shared mutual respect between these two, Sonny still rules the roost and Jason normally defers to him.
Not this time around. How will Jason explain his decision to set his professional and personal relationship with the don to the side in favor of family — and a relative who has never shown him much respect at all? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
