General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Really Behind Drew’s Drugging?

General Hospital spoilers say that when it comes to Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and the drugging storyline, there seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding it. Luckily, we’ve got some answers for you. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

What Is The Point Of Drew’s Drugging?

There are some viewers out there that seem to believe that Drew’s drugging has been completely unnecessary for the current plot line.

While it did work to create some problems between Drew and Willow Tate (Katelynn MacMillen), it never negatively impacted Drew’s career apart from a couple of mentions so no payoff there.

However, it was mentioned during the divorce and custody hearing, but not much has been done. Yet, it did give him some leverage over Nina Reeves (Cynthia Wartos) but she was already afraid of him because she didn’t want to completely lose Willow.

Of course, General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

What’s Next For Drew?

Some even weighed on it with, “Drew used it for blackmail purposes but it didn’t really need to be done in order for that to happen.”

“Drew was already blackmailing Portia and using her to control Curtis, it’s why she agreed to the drugging scheme to begin with. It gave him more leverage over her but it was not needed.”

Another critic of the show wrote, “I think it furthered his whole ‘the world is against me and they are playing dirty’ thing.”

“As a result, he tried to also play dirty by getting Portia to repeat her crime of faking lab results to show Michael had been abusing pain killers, but then Curtis exposed him to Willow for having slept with Nina before they got together which blew up the marriage.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Portia was part of the drugging scheme because she was trying to stop Drew and his bad behavior. I didn’t see much change in Drew after the fact. I don’t think his behavior got much worse because it was already terrible.”
