General Hospital spoilers say that there’s only so much that fans can take.
This Has To Stop Between Laura And Sonny
Of course, we are talking about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos).
A lot of fans of the show are quite upset that the writers have given this ex-couple so much screen time with their weekly “chats.”
To make matters worse, it consists of Laura telling Sonny how great he is and how his reputation doesn’t matter and that they’re besties and the citizens are just gonna have to suck it up.
It’s too bad that Sonny can’t have more mature and thought-provoking conversations with Laura Spencer instead, right?
As our readers can imagine, General Hospital fans have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
It’s Time For Sonny And Laura To Give Things A Rest
Some have even commented with, “Pretty sure MB demanded it, you know needs to be propped. Also Laura is beloved and much like with Heather and Esme if she says they are a good person the audience will believe so they are desperate to get the audience to forget Sonny is a cop killer.”
Another critic of the soap wrote, “No, they are pointless to any storyline except for Laura getting thrown out of her mayoral office for corruption.”
“They don’t fit from a chemistry standpoint as friends either-the conversations are awkward because the writers are searching for any commonality to discuss. But if MB has decided he wants scenes with GF, then it’s a Sonny world and we all have to watch it.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I actually like these scenes. I’m in the minority here, but they showcase Laura’s innate goodness and perhaps highlight Sonny’s continuing journey to the side of goodness.
Whatever the reason, I especially love Laura in these scenes. Sonny i don’t really care about. But I like the scenes.”
Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.

Sonny/Laura have been friendly ever since the Luke/Laura days and Sonny has also always been Sonny. Perhaps writers have something in mind the reason Sonny/Laura are having so many scenes together recently. Some one mentioned Laura's post as mayor being threatened due to her relationship with Sonny but if one goes back a little in time, I have been wondering when or if it will ever be revealed that Spencer fixed the race to allow Laura to win. Guess that has just been forgotten. Perhaps as Sidwell now owns Wyndermere, he will discover the tunnels and find the ballot boxes from Laura's run for mayor. By the way I can't remember there ever being another mayoral race since Laura took office.
