General Hospital Spoilers: The Rumor Mill Strikes Again — Is Josslyn Jacks Leaving Port Charles?

General Hospital spoilers leak a rumor is circulating that Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is going to be leaving Port Charles soon.

The leak ruptured this week, signaling that Eden McCoy is going to be leaving the hit sudser, possibly because of family concerns.

Whether this means the character of Joss goes with her remains to be seen, but it wouldn’t shock fans. McCoy has been in the role since 2015.

If she has plans to step away only for a short time, it could make sense that she is sent off on a WSB mission, placed into protective custody because she’s getting too close to unearthing the truth, or even kidnapped.

But if McCoy is leaving for good, it brings up questions of whether the role would be recast — or not.

Not This Again

Let’s focus on that “or not” part for a moment. If Joss just goes missing long-term or is presumed dead — or worse, is confirmed dead, that’ll be a pivotal point in the storyline of Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) life.

She’s already lost one child, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Losing another would devastate her.

I can’t fathom that her losing her daughter at a time when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is slated to be out of the picture is at all ideal for the grieving process, unless GH would plan on having her lean into Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for support.

Joss May Not Be Lost

Let’s not forget that GH has been treating Joss’ father like a pariah ever since (Ingo Rademacher (portrayer of Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks) filed a lawsuit against ABC/Disney claiming they denied his lawful right to a religious exemption to the Covid-19 vaccination.

That’s a story for another day. In the time since, there has been no clarity around Jax. It’s unclear whether he’ll ever be recast or not. Hopefully, Joss isn’t going to suffer a similar fate.

It’s unlikely, but with word leaking that McCoy is leaving, offering no context for whether she’s just taking a break.

What Lies Ahead

It’s possible that Joss is just another in the line of people who are being snatched up against their will and mentally twisted into knots.

Fans are expecting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to soon suffer a similar fate as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), ever since news broke that he’s going to be kidnapped by someone who is not Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) or WSB Agent Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Might Joss think she can solve this mystery around Cesar Faison (Anders Hoves) on her own, going rogue only to find herself going, going, gone? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers ahead to see how this plays out.
