General Hospital Spoilers: Steve Burton Takes Followers Behind The Scenes At The ABC Soap
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal while Jason Morgan may come off as stoic on GH, his portrayer, Steve Burton, knows how to seize the perfect shot. Recently, he shared some behind-the-scenes glimpses with his fans on social media- he’s a total natural in front of the camera!
A Photo Tour Of Where The Magic Happens
Since his return to the ABC soap in 2024, Burton has been sharing numerous behind-the-scenes glimpses from Port Charles, but his latest post might just be the highlight.
Accompanied by seven photos, he wrote on Instagram, “Here are some behind the scenes shots I took @abcgeneralhospital.” The standout image features Burton in full Stone Cold attire, complete with a leather jacket and a (prop) gun-he concluded his caption with, “Blessed. Grateful. Thanks for watching.”
Garnering over 17,000 likes, the photo collection showcases Burton in his dressing room reviewing a script, and a spontaneous moment with co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).
Then there’s another shot where he holds a prop gun, proudly displaying his sleeve tattoo, all in great detail in some fantastic photography.
Several Co-Stars And Former Co-Stars Noticed And Noted
The post captured the interest of many of Burton’s former and current co-stars, starting with his on-screen twin brother, Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) who on the show just lost his Quartermaine surname. Mathison kicked things off with a playful comment, asking, “Which one of us is the evil twin?” (as if we didn’t know!) This sparked a flurry of responses from fans who humorously declared Mathison’s character as the true villain.
Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio-Drake) chimed in with, “Stevie! And Mo!” while Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) pointed out the prop guns, saying, “Actors with guns, it’s all about the position of the gun.” Newcomer Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah Gannon) joined the conversation with a compliment, stating, “The composition though;” Burton’s fiancée, Michelle Lundstrom, also left a sweet message: “Gosh I love you.”
The Men Who Never Returned, Then Did!
Anyone who’s been watching the ABC soap the last ten years or so know both Jason and Drew were presumed dead and then returned-Jason has one up on Drew, so far.
They’re in good company, as Sonny took a turn in the back from the presumed dead routine, showing you don’t have to be a Cassadine or even be kidnapped by one. Of course, we’re talking about Sonny here, and his amnesiac trip to Nixon Falls which lasted for close to a year.
The Cassadines can be blamed for both Jason’s first presumption of death as well as Drew’s, they were both kidnapped-Drew, a second time. But even now, as Cameron Mathison humorously pointed out, we can’t be sure Drew is really Drew-he may literally not be himself!
