General Hospital Spoilers: Spinelli Proposes as Maxie Reels From Nathan Bombshell
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) may propose to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Will another romantic curveball follow the Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) news that Maxie’s already trying to process?
It came as quite a shock when Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) admitted Nathan had returned from the grave. Maxie struggled to believe it, but Felicia ran down the list of proof and worked to convince her that Nathan was the real deal.
As for Spinelli, GH fans have watched him fretting over his relationship with Maxie and what’s going to happen now that she knows Nathan is back in the picture.
It added to Spinelli’s worries when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) suggested Spinelli didn’t need to look after Maxie and her family any longer. As far as Liesl’s concerned, Nathan and Maxie are destined to live happily ever after.
However, something shifted in Spinelli by the end of that conversation in the February 16 episode. After Obrecht insisted true love always finds its way, Spinelli decided he couldn’t agree more!
It felt like a turning point for Spinelli, who’s presumably going to fight for Maxie instead of wallowing in all these doubts. Spinelli may feel like he has to step up his game and show Maxie that he’s still a contender in this love triangle.
After Maxie fell into a coma, Spinelli made an emotional plea for her to open her eyes so he could propose to her. Sadly, Maxie didn’t wake up back then, so Spinelli’s been stuck waiting and pining all this time.
Of course, once Spinelli found out about Nathan’s comeback, that added to all the romantic complications.
Nevertheless, now that Maxie thankfully isn’t comatose anymore, Spinelli may revisit his marriage proposal idea. Will Spinelli present an engagement ring to Maxie and admit he wants to love her forever?
Maxie has a homecoming party coming up, so there’s a chance Spinelli might do something in front of her other loved ones. That’d probably be a massive blunder, but Spinelli isn’t exactly thinking clearly right now since he’s so desperate to keep Maxie in his life.
It’s also possible that Spinelli will wait until after the festivities wind down and pop the question then instead. No matter when Spinelli chooses to ask Maxie to marry him, it seems like an inevitable question based on the clues the show’s offered.
