General Hospital Spoilers: Spencer Won’t Fall Hard Enough for Esme, Who Will Take Her Pain Out on Trina — Again

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) has been happy to work with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) for the betterment of his baby brother, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Over the last few months, he and Esme have managed to drop their guard against one another. Now, they almost look like friends, and he’s certainly treating her like one.

Telling Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he felt sorry for Esme brought his own feelings about her to light.

Maybe Spencer has gone a bit soft on Esme, and that’s probably for the best since they are family now. But that doesn’t mean he’s falling for her the same way she is for him, and she’s in for a rude awakening in hoping for that.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Misreads All the Signs

Spencer might have defended Esme to Joss — of all people — but having a soft spot for her and some understanding of the difficult time she’s had doesn’t mean he sees her as anything more than Ace’s mother.

Esme was tickled when Spencer casually noted that she was a good mother to Ace — a complement she didn’t see headed her way.

Coupled with his comfortable attitude as he ventured back in time and told her how he used to feel about her, before everything went south, Esme has started to think Spencer might be feeling the spark between them that she hopes she isn’t imagining.

GH Spoilers Hint Spencer Isn’t Interested

Esme hasn’t had the nerve to come clean with Spencer about her budding feelings for him, but when she does, word on the street is it’s going to blow back in her face in ways she can’t possibly comprehend in advance.

If Esme thought she was wanting to leave town and leave the Cassadine family behind before, she’s got another thing coming after Spencer leaves her feeling embarrassed with egg on her face.

As she grapples with wondering whether she really misread all of those signs — or whether he’s backpedaling out of feelings she knows he has for her because he has a girlfriend — nothing will matter to Esme but getting even. Some things never change?

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Blames Trina

Esme is falling for Spencer all over again, and in typical young girl fashion, she’ll take issue with Spencer’s girlfriend when he doesn’t return her feelings.

It couldn’t possibly be Spencer’s fault for seemingly leading her on, right? Maybe he wasn’t intending to, but Esme won’t easily get over the rejection she feels when Spencer doesn’t return her feelings, and she’s not going to take lightly to seeing him with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) after that.

Are we finally about to see the old Esme return to her senses and see to it that Trina can’t hang onto Spencer? How do you think she’ll pull it off without leaving town just to watch him chase her?
