General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny, Jason, or Drew? Who Is Carly’s One True Love?

General Hospital spoilers reveal longtime General Hospital fans know how badly Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has always sought true love. She longs for a partner who accepts her the way she is without question. For someone who certainly puts conditions on almost everyone she knows — next to her children — she’s perpetually seeking unconditional love. Has she found it? Yes, a few times, in fact.

General Hospital Spoilers — A.J. Quartermaine Was Never the One

Carly wasn’t really coupled up with A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), but a one-night stand did lead to an unintended pregnancy while she was otherwise coupled up with Tony Jones (Brad Maule). That baby was Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Carly convinced Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to pretend he was Michael’s father in an attempt to never reveal that A.J. was his biological father. Ultimately, it didn’t work, but A.J. and Carly did later remarry in the Quartermaines’ attempt to win Carly over and get Michael under the Q mansion roof. It was short-lived, because Carly had an affair -– again -– which led to a pregnancy — again, and this time Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was the father. That pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and Carly’s marriage to A.J. ended with it.

General Hospital Updates – Jasper Jacks Was Close, But No Cigar

Carly and Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) have had an interesting off-again-on-again relationship over the years. Originally, these pair were nothing more than business partners, but it ended with much bitterness after Carly’s crossed the boundary line into Jax’s personal life and caused Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to miscarry his child.

That same year, she leveraged information against Jax to get him to fork over half of his ownership in the Metro Court Hotel to her. Somehow, they ended up married to one another just two years later, despite all of Carly’s poor behavior. However, Jax grew tired of Carly’s undying love for Sonny, and they parted ways for some time before renewing their vows and subsequently divorcing anyway in 2013. Many fans loved the chemistry between Carly and Jax, but diehard GH fans knew they were never meant to be.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Has Loved Her The Most Times

Why are Carly and Jax meant to be? Because Carly and Sonny are — perpetually. Sonny and Carly have been married and divorced four times now. A fifth is most certainly already in the works. This couple cannot stay away from each other. They bounce back and forth between a forever love and endless trauma bonds. No one’s claiming their love is the healthy kind, but its intensity keeps us coming back for more.

General Hospital Updates – Tease Drew Cain Is Not Going To Be A Contender

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is Carly’s latest beau. Like all the others, they were friends before growing into something more. Drew has been the kind and supportive person she needed in her corner during her divorce from Sonny and journey down memory lane confronting her past. Carly is ready for the future now, but fans aren’t loving the saccharine sweetness Drew and Carly’s union brings to the table. This romance might be too much too soon.

No One Tops Jason Morgan

While we can rely on Carly marrying Sonny again, the person everyone seems to want to see her with is nowhere to be found. That person is Jason, and he remains her best friend and one true love. Jason’s death still haunts Carly, and we’re surprised she’s been able to scrape herself together as quickly as she has, especially without being able to grieve their split — or his subsequent death — in a healthy way. Fans young and old are waiting for a Carly and Jason reunion, but they’re not likely to accept anyone else in the role but Steve Burton. What does Carly’s future hold?
