General Hospital Spoilers: Should Carly Play a Bigger Role in Danny’s Life?

General Hospital Spoilers say that a lot of fans believe Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) should have a closer relationship with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Should Danny Be Close To Carly?

That’s because the boy seems to be missing a mother figure in his life, now that his own mother Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has been dead for the past year.

Some viewers of the show think that Carly should be a proxy mom of spurts, seeing how their connection is his brother Rocco is Sonny’s grandchild and LuLu, her cousin’s, son. This would make sense for Carly to be in his orbit, right? Or at least that’s what some fans believe.

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I don’t think Danny should be close to Carly, Sam would want him as far away from the mob as possible. She would approve of his deepening connection to the Qs.”

“Danny does not need Carly and her mess, also he is close to Rocco and Rocco does not need Carly in his life in any significant way either.”

What’s Next For Danny?

Another General Hospital fan wrote: “Yes! I’d love to see Carly being a pseudo mom who’s also respectful of the bond he had with his real mom.”

“I think Danny really needs someone to be vulnerable with right now, and Carly could be that person.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I do think GH dropped the ball by not following thru on his relationship with Carly. They wrote some great scenes with the two characters, after Sam’s death, then dropped it.”

“As close as she is to Jason, it’s only natural Carly would be close to Danny as well. She should be a kind of proxy Mom, as she and Sam had mended things before her death.
